Hi - I believe there is a 'window' for credits that this can apply to - they saw that my credits all expire in 2022 and were like "oh you managed to use them" I wnat to say it's from now till end of 2021.. but don't quote me. She was more than happy to do anything in 2021 I believe..?

Tbh they all look at the same system - it seems that it is highly dependent on your individual situation more than anything else

Just called our friends at Amex because the $195 for the edge card came in due. Wasn't offered anything (as I had just been offered a bunch to 'keep' it a few months back) so closed it to save my $195 - as travel credit and the other perks aren't super worth it for me living in Singapore!

As Sapz said above, amex advised me that the cancellation is kind of "inside the machine" so nothing actually gets cancelled... Perse... - nothing happened to mine !!

I am about 75% hit rate with the non-aussie folk - I swear they're either more lenient or ... Just nicer about the offers etc? Do agree that obviously it's very computer says "give things" but hey, we can't know for sure!

Just dropped my two larger credits on hotels here in Singapore - didn't have much places to go and all 3 of my credits were queuing up to expire come March. Hopefully it's all good! (PS. I've found that it you speak to them sometimes they'll just extend the expiry... My experience anyway)
