After changing about 6 bookings with other non status pax, I wasn't charged for any of them.

Looks like row 5 is blocked for WP again - I moved to 5AB yesterday.

I had a look at some upcoming bookings: 737 - WP can select row 5 onwards for free A220 - WP still charged to select Y+ A321XLR - WP can select row 6 onwards for free Row 5 and 6 appear to be blocked for NB on the 737.

Just as an FYI, the current 25% off domestic Y CR applies to release requests. Had 2 pax approved for BNE-MEL return for the QLD long weekend in May. The times I wanted (no more 6am/9pm flights with an infant 😅) were $300 each way so it made for good value.

I've had good success in VA J flying forward if there's room with HLO. Similar to you though - I always fly out of SYD Friday arvo and QF almost always offer fly ahead through the app, usually by late morning.

Seems like you'd be best to focus on cash flights to not burn into the points balance.

They'll probably manage them like other premium routes where it's impossible to get F without having WP to call up anyway.

If you try and select a flight with an infant then it prevents you from proceeding.

I wondered when the <9yo restriction would flow on to bookings via QF (I assumed it had when they announced it originally). We had booked to fly QF F BNE>SYD>LHR then on to ARN with BA. There tyuy rewards last minute for EK F BNE>DXB>ARN which would've been ideal - but didn't want to leave it...

I would kind of expect at Platinum Plus that they would attempt to contact you about making that connection rather than assuming. Maybe I am expecting too much though. I've had personal phone calls for this and boarding just as WP with QF.

I don't expect to have my flight called in the lounge, make everyone wait to make my way down, and then move through the groups. If I want to be boarding with group 1 I make sure I'm at the gate 10 min prior rather than stuffing my face with beer and snacks 😅

Yes you remind me, when we boarded QF1 we were flying F and they specifically called out for F travellers only before boarding anyone else.

I've tried (2 months ago) pretty much every QF34 with I2+ between April and June with no success.

I wonder if the check-in seat allocation algorithm will prioritise filling Y before Y+.
