    Qantas Multi City Problems

AY and JL flight times on HEL-HND are about the same (13.5 hours) but they each take a different route. JL goes south through eastern Europe then across central Asia and China. AY goes north to take the polar route then down over the Pacific.

What is Virgin Australia's strategy (post-administration)?

Is that considered north Asia? QF haven't returned to HKG yet anyway.

What is Virgin Australia's strategy (post-administration)?

Not disagreeing with you about QF's routes these days, but it's not quite as you mention. - They fly to 5 NA cities not 6 (HNL/YVR/SFO/LAX/DFW (now from MEL and SYD)). - There is only two cities served in north Asia (HND and ICN), which is less than 3 years ago when they flew to...

Virgin Australia Business Class - Meals, Menus & Service

I've often had the CM show J pax what the meal looks like. Used to be from a printed service document now it's on the iPad. Makes deciding very easy!

    Lounge Access Help Desk

I was at DOH for 21 hours in October, had access to the Gold lounge. It was busy in the early morning and evening but enough seats for everyone. Food was self-serve but drinks were from the bar. During the day there were more staff than pax in there. I had three showers and never had to wait to...

Virgin Australia and Qatar Announce Strategic Partnership

Unfortunately, it does not. I flew with them recently and also had QR Gold (thanks to the VA status match) so was able to get the extra legroom and UD Y seats for free. Extra leg room I'd pay for, UD Y was lovely (very quiet, half-empty cabin) but I wouldn't necessarily pay for it, especially if...

Virgin Australia and Qatar Announce Strategic Partnership

The rules are based on the operating flight. If they’re on a QR flight with VA status then lounge access is available.

    What defines lounge access?

BA don’t allow OWE into their F lounge (Concorde lounge). And outside of OW, SQ also don’t allow Star Gold into their F (or J) lounges.

    Etihad tried to downgrade us

The 787-10 must have been a once-off as both flights are scheduled as 77W.

    Etihad tried to downgrade us

Good to hear that was sorted, but just something to note, your MAN-AUH flight was either on a 787-10 or 787-9. Looking at FR24 for the last few days there was a day where one of the AUH-MEL flights was operated by a 789 instead of a 77W, that must have been the day you were due to travel.
