I usually just say to the FA that if there are any mains left after service can they let me know so I can get one (because I'm usually still hungry).

To add to the confusion, when I flew in October last year I had my QR Gold on my bp but it printed with an Air NZ lounge invitation. I was told the QF lounge was closed, which was not true, but I was still granted access to the QF lounge (though IMO the NZ lounge at BNE is better).

I've slipped down to VA Silver but still have QR Gold, so good that I can still get benefits on VA with QR status. Does QR Gold = VA Gold for everything? As in can I take a guest into a VA lounge as a QR Gold?

PR's A321Ns also only have 168 seats (12/156).

The JQ A321XLR will be able to do BNE-MNL non-stop. The A321NEO falls short by about 125nm, so it could go non-stop with a few seats blocked.

Checking regos is the easiest way to tell if a 737-700 has J or not. VBY and VBZ do, the others don't. And there are 5 737-700's without a J cabin (3 in service, one getting painted in TSV and one parked).

A friend of mine was on this flight in J and had the best time. He said the reception in the LAX F Lounge was amazing and really set the tone for a fun flight.

Given boarding takes a good 15-20 minutes, if a J passenger boards when priority boarding is called there's plenty of time to finish a glass of bubbles. It doesn't need to be spilling over, but more than half-full would be good.
