Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

I've just checked a few bookings and my goodness, Qantas seat selection has become complex. Looking at my CDG-PER-MEL flight in June, CDG-PER on the 789 has three categories of 'forward zone' seats (only two of which are free as SG), while on PER-MEL there are now two categories of Economy Plus...

    Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

Woolworths still has not taken the hint and offered me another $130 for 800 point offer! (Might do the $20 for 1200 points on freezer items though.)

    SC help pls!

Note also that DSC promos don’t apply to codeshare flights like those on EK.

    AMEX rejection

My view is churning is fine (the offer is there, so why not take advantage of it?), and if you want to repeatedly try, well... okay. But lodging frivolous or vexatious complaints about a clear commercial decision to refuse credit isn't okay as this ties up resources dealing with your whinge...

Card payment sucharges banned in Australia from 2026

The restaurants argued it was all too hard to comply so lobbied successfully to escape the rules around price transparency that apply everywhere else...

    AMEX rejection

Indeed. We'll see whether it works (or not) in due course I suppose. It wouldn't surprise me if repeated applications led to @Dr Ralph being hit with Amex's banhammer in due course, but that's between Amex and Dr Ralph. (Having said that, inferring that Amex is rejecting on the basis of...

Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

When? Close in (i.e. past T-80) they may have already allocated all or most of the remaining seats. What does Expertflyer indicate?

Credit Card Offers NAB Qantas Signature Visa card - $250 cashback and 100,000+30,000 Qantas points

The second bit is if you ring up and say 'can you convert my Qantas Signature card to a non-Qantas one'. Not if you apply for a different flavour separately.

    AMEX rejection

Agree - when I got my (now long binned) letter a few weeks ago, it was phrased fairly generically (something like 'we couldn't approve you based on your credit file'). In my case, I had a stack of enquiries in 2024 from churning and a couple of closures in 2025 so am patiently waiting for the...

Accor stays to Qantas Points discrepancies?

So it looks like it's back operating correctly. Anyway, my account has gone through 'regularization' now so hopefully the Qantas points are not too far away for my Pullman stay. EDIT - points have now landed.

Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

Also noticed that my booking in row 48 (in whY too) on a 789 from CDG to PER is showing as preferred seating. Many changes afoot in Qantas' seat selection rules it seems.

Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

Looks like they're starting to sell economy plus. The seats which I'd selected in row 8 on the 738 are now showing as chargeable ($35 for MEL-SYD; $74 for PER-MEL). Here's hoping my existing selections in row 8 stick...

Accor stays to Qantas Points discrepancies?

People stumbling across this thread should note it matters where you send the enquiry. I used the contact form twice. One using the Partners dropdown has been responded to with 'wait the six weeks'. Immediately after using the Partners dropdown, I realised I should've used the 'missing...

Yes - 10% off for PCP, a $50 voucher, triple points and 1000 green tier points (for 2x 6-packs). All up, it yielded 28,875 points for $430.60. FWIW, I think $20 a bottle is a fair value. It's not a bad chardonnay, but for its RRP (or even ordinary discounted price of ~$40), you can do better.

Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

The 2024 Thompson Estate chardonnay was recently on Qantas Wines as a wine offered when you bought ~24000 bonus points and I puchased a dozen. Came to ~$534 before discounts and vouchers, so $44.50 a bottle before the value of the points etc were deducted. Once the value of points (at 1cpp) and...
