I would have thought if you separate the booking on line into two passengers then you could cancel one of them. I do know for a fact that if you separate there will be a new booking reference for the person you chose to separate out from the original booking but I have no experience in relation...

Are you sure it is 3 points per dollar for AIRBNB ? Isn't it one point per dollar ? Hotels often have the higher earn rate.

yes I also have my LAX-MEL April flight changed from A380 to B787. New seats have been allocated ( I am premium economy class) but I cant change them. Does that mean the premium economy cabin is full ?

just flew Melbourne-Broome and Broome-Perth-Melbourne over the September school holidays. Minimal delay with flights, No delay with luggage in MEL. Good service

Is this award seats or paid fare ? If it is the former I am able to make a dummy booking on line KIK_MEL flying with Jetstar until I stopped at the payment page.

Is the booking showing on your profile ? If so call them again and get them to try processing the payment again. Also call your credit card issuer.

If you have enough points for one passenger then do a dummy booking for that and test whether the points max out at the appropriate One World rate. If your September flight sector is yet to load on the system try an earlier date to ascertain the points required

I agree book the economy class back up. Dial into frequent flyer services for the fastrack points refund, The points and taxes WILL be refunded for a cancellation.

Is it all one ticket ? If so I would leave it as SYD-MEL is not so critical and Qantas should put you on a later flight if the connection time falls apart due to late arrival into SYD etc. Having said that it will be a tight connection.

Something to consider, if JAL use a B787 between HND and SYD, economy class seats are more comfortable than other airline B787's as JAL have 8 seats across as opposed to the more common 9 seats.

Agree If you have the ticket and if on line the booking is not showing as 'processing' the extra points you owe might slip through.
