I am a bit confused. How did you get that pricing. That links through to 99.99 or 94.99 in a 6.

I half suspect they made a pricing error and don't want to supply. If you were one of the first to order, which looking tat the thread you were, they probably would have had stock to complete your order. Technically you have a contract so can sue for performance and they probably have to...

Think this is Wills Domain if anyone is interested. I've not tried it so can't give an opinion: https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_MYSTERY139/secret-selection-single-vineyard-margaret-river-chardonnay-2018

Interesting. There has been a bucket load of older vintage Clarendon Hills stock on Langtons auctions, particularly weekend unreserved auctions over recent months. I've bought a few at $15-20 and happy with all of them - as old as 2003. Wonder where all the stock has come from.

Thanks for the heads up Buzzard. RE BWS - yes expensive. This 30% off can work though. The Paringa Estate Pinot Noir (next one up from the PE and a good pinot IMO) is $75 at BWS. It's $56.25 in a half dozen. Dan's have it at $61.75 in a half dozen. Quick google indicates similar pricing...

Can you suggest a $50 wine better than Penfolds RWT?

Just off the top, a few Victorian producers maybe not so well known that I think represent good value compared to RWT/Penfolds: Warrabilla if like 'em big. The Parola range is great value. You can get them from the winery or Nicks ($35); Anderson's while we in the Rutherglen region -...

TWE have progressively taken all value from the Penfolds range. All are over priced these days IMO. I used to buy some or all of 389, 407, 128, 28 & 138 at release every year from Dan's when they used to have good release pricing but these days I'd be lucky to buy a case of 389 in a good vintage.

Sounds like bottle some variation - ie quality control issues at III Associates. Shame becasue historically the Squid Ink varieties have been very good IMO.

Thanks redbigot, I'll pull one of the Black Bay bottltes from the cellar and give it a try. I got them when first offerred. I always wonder about large discounts from VM for wines that should sell without 50% discounts.

Interesting review. Reading between the lines he isn't confiden it will age well. My rule is that any wine on the discount market that has a bad review is probably not worth buying. Tastes are pesonal and reviews can vary but wines are generally discounted either because they are selling for...

It's Petaluma Evans - I've had it confirmed. I havent tried this vintage but it's generally a good wine. Probably on the expensive side at RRR. Nick's had it for just under $60. At $35 I bought some.

Love to get your feedback. I like the Meshach as a rule was put off by reviews and the discounting. Pur 2 & 2 together... If it's not a good wine $90ish is pricey. If it's up to usual standard it's a decent price IMO. Other vintages often go for less on Langtons unreserved auctions so you...
