Given that you only need three brands for titanium (or two for platinum), I'd price out mattress runs. My trip to Oaks in South Yarra will be $180 and the Parkroyal at MEL was $280 (including breakfast).
They tried to sell me a titanium renewal - spend $US1000 and get D$ 1000 and titanium status. Thanks, but no (I've got mattress runs at two other brands planned as I'll probably head to Spain next year).
Note also there's 10% cashback through Top Cashback.
(Have just ordered the Langtons Premium Chardonnay pack for ~$600 and four bottles of Maison Hugues Pavelot Chorey-Les-Beaunes Les Beaumonts 2021 for ~$36 per bottle, and will get a further $75 cashback through TCB. Quite happy with that. :) )
In this respect, FTTC was pretty good for me (not so much for my dad whose connection died a couple of times). But my downtime for FTTP has been limited to routine maintenance.
That, and I suspect they ultimately want to reduce the number of technologies they have. Basically, they're moving down the value chain capturing people with lower willingness to pay for tech upgrades. I suspect that eventually you'll see stragglers still on FTTN and FTTC switched over to FTTP...
This is probably down to NAB seemingly screwing up the 'online' component of the Premier card.
A lot of us with the non-Qantas card have seen online transactions like Amazon and Coles Online post as 1PPD, not 2PPD as they should (and did under Citi).
Velocity points transfers seem to be a little quicker. I redeemed late on 4 December. Posted this morning (10 December). Interestingly, they posted in two lots, despite ordering only once.
The benefits still far outweigh the cost though!
Over the years, the benefits of the Signature/Premier have been watered down (removing Skywards/Krisflyer as transfer partners, removing the dining program and cutting points earn rates to name but three) but the card still pays for itself.
I...
I think it's more that there are a few people who are being overwhelmed by confirmation bias. They're so convinced that NAB will screw them over that they don't (or can't) believe they haven't.
Has NAB got a track record of screwing customers over? Yup.
Is it possible that NAB may try and...
Spot on. The key wording is "'Your fee' in the table above refers to the Annual Fee amount that you're currently paying, including any promotional discounts or waivers.'
To expand on this, I (like other FFFL cardholders) have in the financial table Citibank sent me many years ago, and to which...
Pleased with my decision to stump up the extra $10 to get Kayo Premium when chasing status credits last month.
The 4K feed from the Gabba looks rather good I must say.
I work on the basis that I'm buying points, so I always subtract the value of the points (at a notional 1cpp) to get a rough idea of the value of the wine.
Oh yes, I do try and persuade her back, but no dice so far.
But if we do Antarctica (or we win the lottery and do the Arctic on Le Commandant Charcot), then Ponant's a prime candidate...
