5,000 bonus points each on up to 3 international Qantas Hotels bookings (book by 5/8/24)

Had the same issue on my wife's account, could not book any hotels and tried various cards including mine which worked 5 mins later when booking a stay on my account. Haven't bothered to see what's causing the issue but would be good to know, from what I can see a bunch of people on Ozb had...

    Citi Prestige Qantas Card Offers

$7.5k within 2 months is hefty, I can see they've also caught on and excluded PayAll from eligible payments.

5,000 bonus points each on up to 3 international Qantas Hotels bookings (book by 5/8/24)

Qantas Hotels is pretty much a front for Expedia, most of the time the prices will be identical between the two but sometimes they do not match. I've checked a few hotels that I recently booked and two had identical pricing but one was about 10% higher on Q Hotels. Expedia offers member pricing...

5,000 bonus points each on up to 3 international Qantas Hotels bookings (book by 5/8/24)

Points usually take six weeks to come in, so I'll treat the first one as a test and if they don't post then I'll just cancel the remaining two bookings. Promo ends in six days but the T&C's say they can be for travel by 5 August 2025.

5,000 bonus points each on up to 3 international Qantas Hotels bookings (book by 5/8/24)

Made one booking for tonight at the SPOT ON 92799 Tanjung Indah Homestay Syariah, $3.37. Let's see how this goes, might book the other two nights in six weeks time to see if the points actually come in.

Linking two rewards flights - checked bags to the destination

We were allowed to check our bags through from a Dom revenue booking with QF onto an international reward with QF connecting to AY. The agent indicated they can only do it between QF and EK only, which stacks up with what @Warragul linked above, YMMV though depending on the agent. As mentioned...

    QR next-gen QSuites

The middle seats are already able to be combined into suites in one form or another, to me this is more of an evolution of the current seat rather than a whole new groundbreaking product. I'm not knocking it, it's one of the best products in the sky and it's good to see that they're investing...

    QR next-gen QSuites

Nothing groundbreaking imo, the ability to convert two window seats into a suite is a welcome addition if flying with someone that you want to chat to but are not keen on sharing the double bed with.

    Buying Air Canada Aeroplan points

100% is almost as good as you're going to get. The last time they had a 125% was in November last year which was a mystery bonus of 100% or more, however not many received a bonus over 100%.

    Travelling with a new born

How would you compare travel with the little one at 6 months vs 12 or 18 months? We have flown long haul when the bub was 3 and 6 months and it was all fairly chill. Now we have a couple trips planned when she will be 14 and 19 months which I assume will be bit more challenging as she is...

    Citibank "4th night free" perk

I just booked a hotel in Osaka through luxury escapes, it has free cancellation but the entire amount was prepaid already, does the credit still post a few days after the transaction or only after the stay?

    Buying Air Canada Aeroplan points

Points ended up posting 24 hours after the purchase, just in time to book 2x SQ J PER - NGO. I assume the reason why the points were not instant is that I used my card to top up the other half’s Aeroplan account.

    Buying Air Canada Aeroplan points

Purchased points but it's been over 2 hours and they still haven't posted. Fingers crossed that it doesn't take too long.

Article: My 3 Favourite Airline Points in 2024

Qatar PC has been my main focus lately, most of the points are coming from my Citi at the moment. 1. Qatar Privilege Club - from travel, Citi Prestige, BA Avios sub 2. Velocity - Flybuys, insurance, everyday spend 3. Aeroplan - buy miles

Your Aeroplan account has been deactivated

Yeah this happened to me, account was blocked out of nowhere. It took me at least 3 months for them to reply to me, all I got told is that the account was flagged and I need to verify my identity. Very annoying and imo a bit ridiculous, you can’t even make a new account as they will block any...

    Buying Air Canada Aeroplan points

I’ve had good results booking SQ J with aeroplan one year out or so, I like that their taxes are quite low compared to let’s say Velocity. Do you use any tools for LifeMiles availability? Every time I tried using their calendar I could not find anything.

    Citibank to airline points transfers

It definitely looks like they have changed the way you redeem points, the link to the old Citi Rewards page goes nowhere. The Citi website now says to redeem directly from the Citi Online portal. I'd be very interested to see whether point transfers actually take 28 days now....

Do Citi have a '12 month' rule?

Has anyone re-applied for this card within 12 months of cancelling and received bonus points? I'm considering doing that in a few months as there's nothing in the T&C's.

    Citibank Luxury Transfer Service

Good change but one issue is the $100 minimum spend, Uber Premier is way under $100 for me to the airport. I guess surge pricing will take care of that issue eventually.
