That's exactly right. As a Hong Konger, we do like travels and we want to travel whenever we can. It is a bit of shame that I only have 2 windows each year to do travelling.

It seems Star Alliance is the alliance where it is hardest to get Lifetime Status with for an Australian traveller, unless one day where Air NZ or Virgin Australia joins Star. Meanwhile, SkyTeam must be the easiest. Just pay ~A$100K and SkyTeam Elite Plus is yours for life. No flying required...

Seat 20A and 20K is my preferred seat on Cathay and the small J cabin is definitely quiet and spacious. Highly recommended.
