I am going to Europe with my parents in their 70s and the flight is arriving at 7am in the morning.
I want to have a room guaranteed to be ready by the time we arrive at 8am in the city, and I am a ALL Silver member.
I wonder if I wanted to have rooms available by that time, would you recommend...
2026 will be the year where I will obtain Lifetime Silver with Qantas and chasing for Lifetime Gold.
So:
Europe January 2026
Japan February 2026
Australia February 2026
Hong Kong June 2026
Japan July 2026
Yes I agree. However, the roaming cards in HK are unregistered (when only used for roaming) and also it is cheaper than Australia so it is beneficial when you are using them for roaming in China to enjoy ananymous brosing if that helps.
If you are transferring via Hong Kong, I would strongly recommend you purchase SoSIM service, which will provide you with a cheaper and more flexible option whilst roaming in China, have access to all essnetial social media.

I hope Koru lifetime status can be rolled out soon, so that Australians can sooner become Lifetime OneWorld and Star Alliance Gold, and we can bring hundreds of kilograms of supplies into Australia without getting slugged...
I actually asked when Whatsapping the agent to buy the ticket and they couldn't add it neither.
I could not buy the ticket from the website because there's no higher booking class available in order for me to earn status credits.
It has already ticketed and I actually had to issue the ticket with CX using Whatsapp due to their website failed to provide the booking class I wanted.
I have made a recent booking on Cathay and I was unable to add my frequent flyer membership on Cathay's website other than asking me to sign up for Cathay's membership which I don't want to do:
Does anyone know how I could have been able to do otherwise to ensure my Qantas FF is added?
