I think you misunderstand the purpose of the airport. Per the video the gates are numbered 18-24 (for future expansion) but for many years it will have much lower throughout than any of the three SYD terminals.

Not late (yet) but VH-OQC scheduled to operate QF11 back to LAX in an hour. Of course with wind issues at SYD it is delayed.
