Optus new $50 SIM only with roaming

They don't, but as part of my complaint resolution I was told at first that my roaming inclusions would be moved across to the Choice plan, then they backtracked and said the system doesn't allow roaming inclusion add-ons to the Choice plans, and they are the only plans available now, so bad...

Optus new $50 SIM only with roaming

My "expert" has come back saying he found the Qantas plan (after I sent him a link to it) and he tried to switch my account onto it, but says "the system would not allow me to change as it needs a Qantas customer ID which only comes from being a new customer which unfortunately rules this plan...

Optus new $50 SIM only with roaming

Similar bad news from my "customer resolution expert". He's emailed me that "unfortunately the system rules do not allow any roaming inclusions to be added to the new plans otherwise I would be able to" So I cheekily asked how does the system allow it on the Qantas plan -- he said he'd never...

Optus new $50 SIM only with roaming

Submitted TIO form Friday, and just now been contacted by an Optus "customer resolution expert" based in Adelaide. Promising and friendly chat, he said keeping the old plan was not possible but suggested he could get my roaming inclusions moved across to the new plan, but needed to check a few...

Optus new $50 SIM only with roaming

I was offered a $20 discount for 6 months. Interesting that you got 12 months! For my complaint they ignored everything I asked about roaming. I think I will refer it to the TIO.

Optus new $50 SIM only with roaming

Thanks for this suggestion, I've just done something similar, submitted a complaint via their online form and said I would like to continue with my current plan, or if that is not possible, to have the international roaming inclusions of my current plan added on to the new plan at no extra cost.

Optus new $50 SIM only with roaming

I just got this email too, the only thing I really care about is losing the included roaming - having roaming calls/SMS on my Australian number whilst living overseas is more important than the data (I have a UK phone with unlimited data). If anyone is successful in keeping the included roaming...

Who else has to regularly chase up Qantas for points & status credits owed....

The banner is still saying by 24th February, but as I sadly expected, none of my claims have been processed. The oldest has been sitting in their queue for 6 months now. I'm based in the UK which makes calling difficult. Maybe I can just cut my losses and try to claim these flights into BA...

Who else has to regularly chase up Qantas for points & status credits owed....

I'm still waiting on 8 active claims (including one from September - waiting almost 6 months), so not hugely confident I'll see them all suddenly credit within the next 5 days... hope to be pleasantly surprised when I open the app on the 25th.

Who else has to regularly chase up Qantas for points & status credits owed....

I made a missing points claim in December where I used the operating carrier flight number (which was the number printed on my boarding pass) instead of the codeshare airline and flight number that I'd bought it from/as. The claim was rejected very quickly, after 2 days I get an email saying...

FlyBe Mark 2 has collapsed (January 2023)

BA are already offering special "rescue fares" of £50 on UK domestic routes to anyone with a Flybe booking reference. https://www.britishairways.com/travel/Flightops/public/en_gb?p_faqid=8938

    Platinum shadow seat

My last few QF domestic trips I've had a blocked middle seat up until a few days before departure when I check and the block is replaced by someone now occupying the seat. I think possibly because the flights were almost full but I did notice a few middle seats stayed free (including one between...

Who else has to regularly chase up Qantas for points & status credits owed....

Looks like QFF are finally processing all the online claims that got stuck 1-2 years ago! I've had 6 emails over the past few days saying my claim was unsuccessful because points were already awarded... well yes, but they were only awarded after lots of chasing via calls and emails. Meanwhile...

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

I’ve been trying to use BeemIt to pay the ATO via BPAY with a credit card, but continually getting this error when I swipe to pay.

I think it might be finally fixed?! Points and SC's for 2 BA flights I forgot about from earlier this year have just showed up in my account a few days ago.

Qantas Frequent Flyer Classic Upgrades Impossible to Get

Pre-pandemic I had a 100% success rate with international upgrade requests to Business from Y or PE, but I haven't tried recently. I've been flying other oneworld airlines instead who had Business fares at a similar price to what Qantas wanted for PE or Y. I regret not switching my earn to BA...

    Cancelled Again!

Having never seen this in the app, where does it come up when offered? Do you have to press anything in particular to see it (like click into the 'manage your booking' screen for that trip?)

    Cancelled Again!

This has become one of my biggest anxieties and regrets with an upcoming MEL to SYD to connect onto a separate booking with QR (which they have also recently changed the schedule to depart earlier reducing the buffer). Hearing that they refused to move you to an earlier flight when calling is...

    QF prices gone mad.

I also didn't receive a reminder and forgot to use my voucher when booking a $500 economy "red e-deal" return between Sydney and Melbourne. Agree though, at that price the voucher barely makes a difference. Oh and the lovely Australian practice of then adding more fees to use a credit card to...
