QF clearly thinks it a PR stunt as QR is quietly also flying people back with no fanfare., Any altruistic act that costs the company money is only reducing their corporate tax liability that the rest of us have to make up for. It is us, the taxpayer who is ultimately footing...

Me too, but I love the way people use wifi as a synonym for the Internet. Don't QF provide streaming via wifi on some planes that don't actually have Internet access already (or did at one point a few years ago)?

I'm sure it was a tongue in cheek comment. The issue is though that QFi's J meal service is so slow it is actually a major detraction for them. Given they have such a minimalistic menu what are other airlines doing right that QF is getting so wrong?

Why Sony? I'm a Moto man myself and these are readily available here and the current models are fine on Telstra and Optus. My previous phone wouldn't do 4G calling on Optus but did when I switched to Boost. My current model is fine on either network.

Our council has a cat curfew overnight and cats can be caught and impounded (which carries a fine/release fee). Also Vic has cat trespass laws which are enforceable on the owner for non compliance. The fundamental problem is it isn't the animals that need the licensing, it's the owners.

I've just splashed out the $2 for a Sim from a shop and ported my number when I wanted it done. Never had an issue. Asking/telling the Telco to delay the port to a specific time is likely outside of their offered capabilities.
