Whenever I have previously travelled Jetstar Business Max from Bali back to Australia, I have always needed to check in at the counter and you are given a lounge pass there - it is separate to your boarding pass. <worth noting this is pre COVID experience>

Are you sure that their ages were not included in the booking, as this would be quite unusual. If they are flying J reward, it should be possible to choose meals for them via the Singapore Airlines portal using 'Book the cook'. There is an option to choose between specific meals for children...
