I'm pleased to have snagged 3 x J seats on BA from SYD to LHR in December 2023 for the day I wanted. I have been planning and watching like a hawk on release time so glad it paid off.

Update on our check-in at MEL on SQ218 overnight. Terrible layout for SQ at MEL with lines snaking all around. Had a 35 minute wait for J check-in due to one of the check-in desk computers being down.

Still a few flights left before 2022 finishes but I will have done 17 flights totalling 25460 miles by 31 December. The only new airport will be AUS and will tip over into QF platinum around 31 December also. Sadly no new countries, maybe next year. Edit: Will have new airlines - flying AS down...

I was pondering whether any AFF members had children (under 18) who were Points Club members. Obviously credit card earning is not possible but there are other ways to earn points, with some hard graft, that could potentially mean entry to Points Club. The key benefit I am looking for from it...

Just a data point for some - I availed myself of the Points Club Plus triple bonus points for flights offer back in September. Bonus points hit my account 2 days after flights and they aren't considered 'flight' points so not included the 20k flights cap. It got me an additional 20k points so...

Thanks @wendlle - I've been pondering this same issue for MasterC. I'm interested to know your experience once you've visited the US. I.e whether you get quizzed about any of it on arrival etc

I've tried to offset against an existing booking (applied ~ 2 weeks ago). It shows that the offset request has been made but not actioned yet and no green leaf yet. The flight is in 2 weeks so will see if it ultimately sticks or I need to follow up with QFF.

I'm the same as you. Still waiting for my points but interestingly, although I signed up for the promo and my account commenced on 15 July, my first bill wasn't raised until 4 August. So have only had 3 bills so far. Also, I had the Optus Sim Promo in my QFF account but it isn't there now??

We're commencing 2023 in the US - San Antonio before heading to Utah and Colorado for some skiing. We'll end 2023 someone in Europe - exact itinerary still to be determined but plan on attending the Christmas markets in Vienna, also going to London and Iceland looking for the Northern Lights...

Interesting, I think my flight was probably the same, just a year or so later.

First flight was in 1977 or 1978. No memory of it as I was 3 at the time. We were flying from Melbourne to London via India First real memory of a flight was flying to Germany with Lufthansa in 1989 back when smoking was still allowed on planes. Pretty yuck travelling in a lot of smoke!

I am fairly particular in what I eat so I generally don't eat much in the lounge unless I know the food service is going to be worse. I even brought my own snacks on my AKL status credit run, just in case!

They're supposed to formally announce it later this week. So fingers crossed!

They are removing the mask mandate in Germany too apparently (according to One Mile at a time).
