    Good BWS offers

Not me, in the ACT. But I do get a similar "discount" with shopback and topcashback from time to time.

    Wine Glasses, Decanters etc

I currently have 32 credits and want the 2 red wine glasses for 36. However, I have an order being delivered tomorrow, so that should increase the number to 36+ So I guess I'll drive down to the nearest Coles on Friday in the 40 degree heat and claim my glasses.

Have you accidentally booked the wrong flight?

Yes indeed. I'm always a bit paranoid when booking a connecting flight to a long haul flight arriving the day after the day of departure.

Travel discounts Over sixty years of age in UK for non UK residents

That's why I've never done it. Too much of a hassle. With a Railcard you can get many of the benefits.

Life Time Gold - The [Realistic] Holy Grail

It's not how BA did it. I guess it may well depend on the feedback from VA's brave changes to Velocity.

Public Transport to our airports - what's cheapest?

From where to where? I expect SYD, CBR and ADL could give that a run for its money as far a public transport to/from the airport is concerned.

Australia to Europe from $684 return

Yes, that's the only situation I will book with an OLTA. Close in.

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Can I just say, as a general comment, I don't fly business class for the meals. I sometimes don't bother with the meal service at all depending on how I feel and what's on offer. However, I sometimes do look forward to a glass or two of decent alcohol to help me sleep. If there's a nice meal and...

Fraudulent China Southern flight in my name, what to do next?

Well, I had the weirdest email from Tesco this morning. I was asked to provide a review of my visit to a store in the UK I apparently I had visited yesterday. This means someone had used my club card number (scary). So I did provide a review, for the points. Hope they liked it...

Anyone else had an overseas speeding fine arrive in the mail?

I thought I might have copped a fine in Tassie (overseas) a few weeks ago, but I haven't received anything in the mail, so all good? And, btw, you have to drive a bit like a maniac to keep up with those logging trucks. I was following one on the road up to George Town, and we were doiing 120...

Australia to Europe from $684 return

But can you do that with the airlines involved and expect a guaranteed empty seat even if the flight is full/oversild?

Best options for making cheap calls/text when overseas?

Surely this is now all a dead duck with the likes of Amaysim's roaming products.

Then doesn't that shoot your costings to pieces?

Australia to Europe from $684 return

I know I don't want to. In the past I've done quite a few trips between AU and EU in Y (but with a couple of stops on the way) and I likely won't be doing it again. But. of course you're quite welcome to do it. Well, I say that, but if I was travelling with my partner, and it was A330's all the...

Best Australian debit card for overseas cash withdrawals?

I'm not sure if things have changed that much, so when I arrive at TPE in Feb I'll be withdrawing a fair bit of cash, to tide me over my stays.

Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

Sadly, this is one for the history books. I picked up a few cases of this very nice drinking wine a few years ago at auction. The last bottle went this evening.

Australia to Europe from $684 return

Well, yes. These flights are great value (for young people), but I wouldn't fly Y for more than about 5 hours, and only on a decent airline. Not sure I'd call Chinese airlines "decent". Excepting CX of course.
