Qantas adds Brisbane-Manila but suspends Sydney-Shanghai flights

I can speak for a bunch of AU business and also multinationals I work with, many are pulling operations out of China, especially US companies. If you Google it you can read up about the China manufacturing exodus. It’s quite interesting. Corp travel is not as strong as it used to be to China...

Virgin Australia and Air NZ form new partnership

Declaring OT (but related) and didn’t want to start whole new thread for something hopefully simple to answer. If you have a domestic NZ flight booked on QF code and it’s a Q300, is it possible to select a seat? QF.com refers to NZ to do it but NZ doesn’t accept the QF PNR?

    Bonza Airline Discussion

Some zingers coming out from ‘aviation experts’ on ABC radio tonight… plenty of creative plays on the name but this one was also good: ‘They started an airline flying between places not many people wanted to fly between, on aircraft models no one wants to fly on and didn’t sell tickets in the...

Qantas to Introduce Group Boarding and Bag Tracking

Exactly. And since the Virgin ‘enhancements’ to their PB it’s really fallen away sadly. Messy now too. Will be interested to see how the new QF process goes.

    SFO Qantas Lounge

I thought I read JL closed the SFO lounge and use BA. SF is a city in a world of pain still sadly, what a mess.

A vast vast vast majority won’t even notice it’s happened because they didn’t know about it in the first place. AFF population excluded of course :) Thank you @madrooster for your insightful posts much appreciated.

    QantasLink Airbus A220 Discussion

Finally got around to posting about my first experience, as noted up thread I moved a flight around to try it out - just in Y. Seat was comfortable, I was a little worried about brand new seats after recently sitting in the new Virgin 737 seats which are rock hard and uncomfortable - but the...

Pets in the Cabin - Coming soon on Virgin Australia

Actually the prevalence of allergies to cats and dogs is really high amongst the general population (not just AFF 😉) some estimates are 10-20% of people are affected in some way. I’m not, but my partner is and even if the animal is not present just a few hairs can set them off and it’s really...
