International Flex Fare = Saver Conditions For Changes

I’d call the fare rules fine print as you have to open them seperate to what the booking engine shows - I.e., a table of the basic features of the fare selected. Even if the fare roles were not considered fine print, I would think the “note” at the very bottom of the fare rules that negates the...

Pets in the Cabin - Coming soon on Virgin Australia

Family has always had pets and we love them… but not a fan of seeing pets in cabins. Allergies, kids being scared of dogs, barking and noise, pets needing to relive themselves… to repeat a few things already said on the thread, are just more things to make flying even more uncomfortable. Yes...

International Flex Fare = Saver Conditions For Changes

I’m not a lawyer so only taking a guess, but I would have thought the practise of applying the most restrictive terms via a disclaimer / fare rules could be considered misleading. Given the primary message / impression when selecting a flexi fare (along with the big green ticks saying you can...

International Flex Fare = Saver Conditions For Changes

Agree that’s it’s quite misleading for them to sell you a flexi fare on one segment and then apply the fare rules from another segment. The system should prevent you from purchasing as flexi unless all lower fare classes have sold out. I wonder if this could run foul of consumer protections if...

Good News! Pyjamas on (almost) all Qantas international flights in J!

I’m in the “like QF PJ’s camp” and wear them whenever they are provided when I’m flying J. Much more comfortable for sleeping and relaxing! Each to their own :)

"... we'll shortly announce a major investment to improve our Frequent Flyer program"

Seeing some really weird points classic rewards pricing on connecting flights.... i.e., the pricing says classic reward but the points are closer to points + pay... so very possible the website changes are not going quite to plan.

Classic Reward Flights Generic Error when booking J seats on multiple legs

And also costs more points to book separately :(

Classic Reward Flights Generic Error when booking J seats on multiple legs

Great explanation - thanks!! Finally got caught by this issue trying to book a ASIA-AUS reward seat and then a domestic connecting flight the next day, which the multi-city engine happy displays and provides pricing, but then errors and fails when going to the payment page. Contacting the call...

Re ticketing a reward flight Due to Qantas ticketing with the wrong first name

It is 2024... you would think the technology would allow moving beyond archaic ticketing rules and support name corrections at no cost regardless of which airline/partner is part of of the itinerary.

Double Status Credits promotion (Book by 27/2/24, travel 28/2/24-14/2/25)

I don't believe the system will stop you from booking a second ticket under the same name. Perhaps it may not ticket correctly, but in that case, you would still be holding the reward seat and then can escalate to the new Qantas email address to get it ticketed.

"... we'll shortly announce a major investment to improve our Frequent Flyer program"

Yes and no, sometime the IBE just doesn't allow the combination you are seeking. The bigger bug bear for me is you cannot purchase both rewards and paid tickets in the same booking; it can only be done via seperate booking which can cause big issues for families if flights change or are...

"... we'll shortly announce a major investment to improve our Frequent Flyer program"

From the Australian, Qantas has revealed there is a new option to spend points is coming that will be seperate to the current Classic Rewards. Qantas has revealed it is preparing to release a new “flight reward product” to overcome the problem of frequent flyers being unable to redeem their...

Survey re Premium/Standard Qantas Club Proposal

Yep, have found the same even locally. The House is a great option in Melbourne compared to QF Pub (for those with first lounge access).

"... we'll shortly announce a major investment to improve our Frequent Flyer program"

I’d be surprised if the changes weren’t somewhat positive given Qantas have openly reported on multiple occasions they are well aware of the negative customer sentiment given performance and service quality. Revenue based points earning could be a possibility given how other programs have...

    QantasLink Airbus A220 Discussion

As a gold, it seems rows 5-8 are blocked completely. Row 9 AC chargeable along with rows 4 & 12. Once logged out as NB it seeks you can only select from Row 17, aside from the chargeable seats. Splitting the difference, Silver can probably select from Row 13. I’d be surprised if 5-8 AC remain...

Double Status Credits promotion (Book by 27/2/24, travel 28/2/24-14/2/25)

Typical… finished booking a double leg domestic business reward flight about a minute before this offer pops up in the app!! 😂 Could cancel and rebook but then again no guarantee the reward seats go back into inventory.

I would hope they do a international fit out with the extras, if they are forgoing them on the domestic fitted planes.
