Would disagree that the Grand Hyatt is superior to the Park Hyatt - having stayed at both a bit I prefer the PH as it has much more charm and sophistication and a quieter location than the almost sterile GH (accepting my view might be skewed as a Diamond member)

Recently took the PER-(PHE)-XCH-CCK with VA- obviously no J here but the crew (including the pilots) and ground crew were the worst I have experienced for years. The flight was besieged with issues - 2.5 hours late ( with no announcements until 1/2 an hour after boarding time, pilots turn up...

Best lounge in Australia for me would be Park Hyatt Melbourne (favourite would be Park Hyatt Canberra) For O/S - the Imperial Club Waldorf Cavalieri Lounge in Rome is hard to beat

Some of the fares from PER are amazingly good value for QF and even converted to a standard YASA - PER-ADL-PER is ~37K QFF (excluding points earn! )- whilst a classic award is 36K + $90 and no points..... hmm difficult choice! :o

Being in Perth I usually try and visit two office locations over East. The old multi-city was still inferior to QF (only allowed 1 different location) but at least it made the cc fees tolerable. Now it takes too long to book and as such when I have a multi-city booking I don't even look at VA...

:p Excellent news - have to go to Tamworth a fair bit over the next 2 years so good timing. The airport there can easily handle a QC - there is significant state government and defence travel going through here and the flights are usually pretty full too.

Did PER-DWN today I was seated in row 3. oh and the only person in all of row 3 and 4 and 5. Then all the rest squeezed in thereafter. Quite nice really - that was until a bunch of bogan friends from the back decided those rows might be a nice place to sit....
