Public Transport to our airports - what's cheapest?

From where to where? I expect SYD, CBR and ADL could give that a run for its money as far a public transport to/from the airport is concerned.

Australia to Europe from $684 return

Yes, that's the only situation I will book with an OLTA. Close in.

    Ubank "Enhancements" Incoming - 15/7/25 & 1/10/25

Yeah, that's pretty much my strategy.

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Can I just say, as a general comment, I don't fly business class for the meals. I sometimes don't bother with the meal service at all depending on how I feel and what's on offer. However, I sometimes do look forward to a glass or two of decent alcohol to help me sleep. If there's a nice meal and...

Fraudulent China Southern flight in my name, what to do next?

Well, I had the weirdest email from Tesco this morning. I was asked to provide a review of my visit to a store in the UK I apparently I had visited yesterday. This means someone had used my club card number (scary). So I did provide a review, for the points. Hope they liked it...

Anyone else had an overseas speeding fine arrive in the mail?

I thought I might have copped a fine in Tassie (overseas) a few weeks ago, but I haven't received anything in the mail, so all good? And, btw, you have to drive a bit like a maniac to keep up with those logging trucks. I was following one on the road up to George Town, and we were doiing 120...

Australia to Europe from $684 return

But can you do that with the airlines involved and expect a guaranteed empty seat even if the flight is full/oversild?

Best options for making cheap calls/text when overseas?

Surely this is now all a dead duck with the likes of Amaysim's roaming products.

Public Transport to our airports - what's cheapest?

Then doesn't that shoot your costings to pieces?

Australia to Europe from $684 return

I know I don't want to. In the past I've done quite a few trips between AU and EU in Y (but with a couple of stops on the way) and I likely won't be doing it again. But. of course you're quite welcome to do it. Well, I say that, but if I was travelling with my partner, and it was A330's all the...

Best Australian debit card for overseas cash withdrawals?

I'm not sure if things have changed that much, so when I arrive at TPE in Feb I'll be withdrawing a fair bit of cash, to tide me over my stays.

Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

Sadly, this is one for the history books. I picked up a few cases of this very nice drinking wine a few years ago at auction. The last bottle went this evening.

Australia to Europe from $684 return

Well, yes. These flights are great value (for young people), but I wouldn't fly Y for more than about 5 hours, and only on a decent airline. Not sure I'd call Chinese airlines "decent". Excepting CX of course.

Best Australian debit card for overseas cash withdrawals?

But would my Aussie MC/Visa be accepted? Based on my experiences in Taiwan, I would fear not, so having cash would be the only option?

NT Govt must have offered a huge inducement.

Can't book rewards from Dubrovnik or Split

As has been noted above, there are ways to check availability online. However, if there isn't anything suitable ex DBV or SPU, I'd suggest taking Flixbus to ZAG, where there is often a lot more availability, I've done it myself recently.

    Feet on walls / bulkhead

I'm not sure what you are trying to imply here. Would it be OK if he was?

Best Australian debit card for overseas cash withdrawals?

That's good to know, but it probably won't help me in a few weeks time. And the other thing is, I couldn't find anywhere in Taiwan that would accept a non-Taiwanese credit/debit card (including supermarkets and conveniencw stores). So, probably, the Easycard will live on for foreigners (and...

    CX Seat selection

I'm flying CX regional J on the 777 (2-3-2) in a few weeks and have selected an aisle bulkhead seat, as the window seat is blocked for a bassinet. However, I would prefer the window seat. Does anyone know if this becomes available for selection at OLCI?

Travel discounts Over sixty years of age in UK for non UK residents

You can buy it from trip.com. There are really not many other discounts available to non-UK residents. I'm visiting the UK in March and will be travelling from London to the North West to see my sister. My railcard has expired, and doing the maths, I've decided not to renew it. I really...
