DJ cards earning scheme is not changed as this stage, and the conversion rate to airlines programs have been always 2:1, so put that in simple, other AMEX programs are devalued to the same ratio as DJ cards.

It calculates by each transaction not the whole amount by the end of statement, AMEX uses the same methodology, and each transaction is using round down calculation.

If you are not carrying lots of miles from any of airlines, then I would recommend you to redeem the points to DJ gift cards, at least it gives you 7 cents for every 100 points, then cancel the card afterwards.

Not really, to be successful using in UnionPay terminals in China, the merchants have to accept UnionPay Foreign cards (UnionPay overseas channel), if merchants only accept standard UnionPay cards that issued by Chinese banks, then Discover/Diners cannot be used in those terminals.

My advice is take the screen shot with the ratio it shows currently, and put the time log into it, and meanwhile also put the time log when you do the transfer, just in case if something goes funny afterwards.

I have logged DJ account, and the transfer ratio still shows 1000=500, and I just tested 1000, it went successful. I will see how many points it will arrive in my SPG account.
