Yes, I was fully aware of that, but it didn't fit in with my arrangements in Europe. What's a couple hundred bucks anyway in the grand scheme of things?
It's a really good fare and IMO, unlikely to be repeated anytime soon.
Just come across this fare which I am looking at booking. It seems widely available ATM, with dates right through to October, although it may not last very long.
The fare is around AU$4,000 R/T, depending on the dates you choose. This is what I am looking at, as I already have a booking (which...
Is it just me, or is the Jetstar website having problems? I can't display my flight in a couple of days time, which makes me worry a little.
Maybe there's a few things Jetstar isn't telling us.
I'm supposed to be flying CBR-OOL on JQ next week. I really have to be there, so as a precaution, I've just booked (with cfar) VA CBR-OOL for the same day.
I'm quite happy to fly VA if JQ cancels. Should've booked VA in the first place!
Not really a hotel, but the houseboat on thr Dal lake in Kashmir in the 1970's was hard to beat, including cheap marijuan_ delivered daily (not that we were interested).
An honourable mention goes to the Hotel Rossiya (RIP) close to Red Square Moscow, where we stayed in the early 1970's. At...
Bit of a niche thing, I guess, but Agean is currently having its Black Friday Sales Festival with "up to 70% off".
It's actually quite a good sale IMO, as I've just booked HER-ATH-DXB in flex Y in late May for EUR 169 all-in. This fare was EUR 228 yesterday, so not a bad deal at all.
I'd...
I'm flying JQ CBR-OOL next week (JQ and God willing). I really don't like Jetstar, but, alas, they were the cheapest.
So, if they throw a wobbly, I may be screwed, as I'm booked to fly QF OOL-CBR in J the next day (not direct, obviously).
Do we care about AJ? Not me. The less I hear about him the better.
However, my cognition, intuition and imagination are fine, thanks....
Oh, and an honourable mention for Vanessa.
Not in my experience. Never had a problem with damaged goods.
OTOH, I've had the wine delivered to a completely different address. Luckily it was an an aquaintance of mine (!) who lived at the same house number, but a street down from me. Otherwise I'd be filing a no show complaint, and who...
Jeez, that's expensive. I'd pay way less than half that, with full insurance. Not with Avis, but another "reputable" provider. Surely nobody would pay those rates.
Seems like CX has gone above and beyond....

I'd be surprised if that was the case, unless it was a fully optioned top of thr line model. I rented an Audi Q5 last week and it would have been worth somewhat less than that. Nice vehicle nontheless. None of that Asian penchant for having the vehicle try to drive itself against your will.
I imagine that if it was a ditching scenario the pilot's tone may have been a little different. And he/she likely wouldn't have just left it at that. But without a transcript of the conversations, we just don't know. It's purely conjecture at this stage, so no point in over analysing.
