I've never had a problem emailing a hotel, telling them that I'm arriving late. They normally keep a staff member back, or have a key box arrangement. Regarding transport following QF72 - we didn't have a problem catching an Uber the other evening. Plenty of Taxi's were still at the rank, too.

Flew PER-SIN on the 31st of October. Confirming the International Lounge opens a few hours prior to the new (earlier) departure - despite what the website says.

I also experienced issues with Virgin compensating for a damaged suitcase a few years ago. It was a rejection, then a smaller than acceptable amount offered. I ended up sending a letter of demand via registered post to "The Proper Officer" (using their registered address from the ASX website)...

If they were abusive/threatening or assaulted anyone - you can be absolutely sure that the AFP would have taken it further, and laid charges. It would then be up to the DPP and the courts to take the medical episode as mitigating circumstances.

If you don't have a copy, AFCA should be able to request these from NIB - I would suggest it would be unreasonable for a "reasonable person" to have to take screenshots/keep copies of this information (different to a PDS).

I can tell you from first hand experience that the Aspire lounge is pretty dire in terms of food and beverage offerings. Space is also very limited, particularly prior to the CX service.
