Should airlines pay for services they request a medical professional to perform?

Just a thought re: potential liability if one were to receive payment for a service they render on a plane assisting another unwell pax. I agree if one were to receive monetary reward in exchange for attending to a pax, it could lead to potential legal liability which may not be covered by the...

    Vodafone 10,000 point bonus

I sort of knew this was gonna happen. So i printed the entire pages of the offer, the T&C, every order page online when i was signing up. Not sure if that'll help, but if it's evidence you're looking for, it definitely exists. Happy to post it here but it's in black & white print not colour...

Should airlines pay for services they request a medical professional to perform?

Re: Doctors on board It became an expectation, and people no longer appreciated. I know for a fact there are people out there that firmly believe medicine is a noble profession, so doctors should not ask for better pay. Their argument is that the sacrifice is part of being a doctor...

Flight test: Qantas A380 first class

The main pic shows a FA showing a bottle of Dom Perignon. Or what looks very much like it. Is that a standard Qf F offering?

Strangely when i was there, they gave better exchange rates for travellers cheques. The difference was not huge, but still noticeable better.

    SIN lounges

I think I may be able to help here, seeing that I've been to all 3 lounges recently. MH - located in T2. Lounge is very basic. When I was there in the afternoon they had a few hot food offerings. 2 computers if i'm not mistaken. But quiet, as only MH pax use it. MI - SATS lounge in T2...

urgent [PR with conviction query] !!!!!!!!!!!!

It might be of interest to note that by far the highest proportion of migrants to Australia are pommies. But that said, the overall proportion of migrants from non-english speaking backgrounds probably outnumber those that are.

urgent [PR with conviction query] !!!!!!!!!!!!

you said you did a stupid thing, you got caught shoplifting. I would suggest that the shoplifting itself was the stupid thing. Don't do it again. You could have (if you have not already) jeopardised your application, and for good reason.

TRS - bring the goods back

Note that the officers at entry borders are actually customs officers, not immigration officers. The person doing TRS is also a customs officer. I know customs and immigration are linked, just not sure how tightly linked they are.

TRS - bring the goods back

If you are only claiming the MBA on your way out, and there are more than 2 of u on the way back, then you don't even need to declare it as the value will be less than $1800 even before you take into account depreciation. My understanding is that you declare only if the value of the goods...

TRS - bring the goods back

Yes when you get your GST back from TRS it is recorded. When you come back in, the customs officer looking at your passport and incoming passenger card has access to everything. Once your record is tainted, you will be forever flagged, which is a bad thing. It's a bit like bad credit...

Cairns International lounge (Reef Lounge) access policy for QC and QFF passengers

Will you be even allowed to clear immigration if you're not flying out of the country OR boarding a domestic flight from an international terminal? If not, then not possible to even consider Reef Lounge unless you are allowed to go through immigration?

sydney to new york - upgrade

Malaysia Airlines suspended flights to New York due to poor yield in profits. So i guess you don't really have a choice. Not gonna be easy getting a J saver upgrade on New York route (via FRA). But at least there's a chance. You got no chance with MH.

    *A Lounge Access Question

Thanks serfty & markis for your responses. NZ lounge is indeed pleasant, but was just wondering whether the SQ lounge would offer something different. My TG flight is at 10am. SQ flight is 8am and 11am. So in all likelihood it'll be fairly quiet. People have told me that the NZ lounge is...
