    Tasmania Border control late July

The Liberal premier of Tasmania is not acting anything like a pro business leader. I live in Hobart and there is a sense of frustration gathering. In the south there have been no new cases of C19 for maybe 6 weeks and about 4 weeks since any active cases. There are 2 active cases in the NW and...

How long before cancelled Card Gets Removed from Credit history

This is part of a reply I got from Qantas Premier CC after refusing to increase my credit limit. I checked all 3 reports and the only information on all of them was for current and cancelled credit cards. The reports also show that I paid every card in full and on time. My score was rated as...

Regional Destinations - like we ain’t heading OS

Hoping to fly to Queensland in November for Rod Stewart concert at Sirromet Winery. At this time it's a real guessing game as to it going ahead. Was planning to go to Port Douglas and Townsville after to catch up with family and friends. Apart from concert tickets no other bookings made yet.

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

It's fascinating to read the posts in this thread. A subject matter we have never encountered before. The different viewpoints no doubt reflect the discussions we all have with family friends and work colleagues. Some of the posters would seem to have medical knowledge which is helpful...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

The national medical authorities never said that interstate borders should be closed. It was the state Premiers that made the call. Surely it's now time to reopen them given the very low number of cases.

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

According to reports today the British cabinet will be considering exemptions from the 14 day quarantine for Australians to enter there. There are at least 2 obvious problems should that happen; *Australia would be extremely unlikely to agree to a reciprocal agreement given the high numbers in...

NAB QF Rewards Signature card application questions

Things have changed I know, but I've had the NAB card a couple of times in the past 5 years and easily the easiest approval considering the big bonus points and I'v been retired for nearly 6 years!

Amex Membership Points to Velocity or Singapore Airlines? I have plenty of Qantas Points.

I also have quite a few Qantas points but not enough for 2 next year for international return in J (assuming we can travel overseas). My plan is to use Qantas points 1 way and Krisflyer the other. My problem at the moment is I want to build up my Krisflyer miles by finding a card that earns...

Do Tasmanian Woolworths customers really prefer the "Frequent $hopper Club"?

Mixed feelings about this change. Current FSC works well. When swiping the FSC at checkout you will be asked if you want to use your $$ credit off your current shop provided it's over $10. On the positive side when Woolworths Rewards starts I will earn both Qantas and Krisflyer points with the...

The way out of lockdowns etc in Australia

Before Covid 19 there were direct flights from Hobart to both Gold Coast and Brisbane. Post CV who knows?

The way out of lockdowns etc in Australia

A group of 10 of us have paid for Rod Stewart concert tickets in Queensland early November. At this stage we have no idea if the tour will go ahead. It will probably depend on international border restrictions. It looks like interstate flights will be going by then. It's also going to depend on...

Virgin Australia enter Voluntary Administration - Impact on Amex cards?

Have you checked out the Westpac Altitude cards? The Amex card earns 3 Altitude points which converts to 1 Virgin/Singapore Airlines/Air NZ point and often has excellent sign on bonuses.

    Advice on VPN

Problem sorted. Used the support topics on ExpressVPN. Pretty simple really. Turned off location on device and tried yet another location in the US (LA -3) and away I went. I should have thought about the location thing before I know.

    Advice on VPN

Thanks. I tried using San Francisco and LA but no go. Also tried using another (new) account with different email address after signing out of the first one. I sent a message to ExpressVPN and waiting on reply. Also did Google search and found a UK site (PixelPrivacy) which gives ExpressVPN...

    Advice on VPN

I have Express VPN and signed up to Amazon Prime Video through a US location. I want to start watching Bosch season 6 which just started in the US but not in Australia for probably 6 months. There are other shows that look appealing as well not on the Australian site. The US site knows I am...
