Go round to T1 and have a swim in the outdoor pool (Aerotel transit hotel). Butterfly garden, cinema. Enter Singapore (as per above comments) and visit one of the staff canteens (hawker centres) T1 or T2. Visit the underground carnival and food court in basement T3. Or even go to East Coast and...
The sole reason I chase SG/WP with VA is to have status benefits when flying SQ Y, which benefits are valuable (lounge access, priority boarding etc). And VA status is easier to obtain than SQ status. But not worth it anymore.
I sorta grudgingly admit that this makes sense. Why should a miserable $49 flight to Ballina earn more than 2 SCs, and it's a decent earn if you are crazy enough to fork out for a Flex fare.
The only thing they are really good at is PR - getting soft coverage in the media ("Qantas launches insane sale", "Qantas has slashed the cost of its flights...") and on sites like Executive Traveller.
Disagree. The types of people doing the wrong thing won't read media releases and airlines policies. Cabin crew are NOT escalating if they tell the pax on board that if they don't comply with the instruction they will be banned from future flights. That is literally de-escalating, and has the...
Answer: It depends. Best backpack for me, being HLO and aiming for 8kg, is Kathmandu Litehaul 38L. Good quality, good size, light, enough pockets, good laptop protection, good straps.
My comment would be that if you are pushing towards 12-14kg with HLO then don't do it. HLO is great when it is about 7-8kg, so carrying a backpack in/out of metro stations, trains, buses, cars etc is manageable and definitely the way to travel (we do this all the time).
But if it is 14kg, then...
Exactly. They are returning home from work, and so am I (specifically a work trip). Priority security and passport control is different as they need to get to their plane by a certain time to go through all the preparations for the flight.
Put a sign up so I can decide to go to Didi instead.
Same boat. It's the SQ flights (mainly Y) which have me requalifying as VA WP each year, and I need that status in order to make flying int Y bearable. As a consequence, I also choose to fly VA domestically where possible. So it's self-defeating.
On the search page of the DB website, there is an option "Transfer time" on the third line of the search bars. Here you can change from "Normal" to a longer time of your choice.
