- It is the case of booking partner flights with classic rewards. Since QF-EK have their partnership, lounge access + baggage allocation is no problem but no status credits on partner reward flights. Only a few exceptions like Aircalin where the QF code remains after the reward flight selection.
The $1400 return sale deals on AA ex-SYD looked interesting earlier this year but it looks like there is a reason.
Anything about the onboard wifi speeds? Based on other sites it is good enough for surfing the internet but not fast enough to stream. Might come in handy for a 13 hour flight.
Putting myself through this application now. Still in the 12 month/18 month lockout for the other banks and Im left with this for Qantas cards. Automatic conditional approval with no human intervention so far, uploaded the docs.
Will report back later.
Basically at the minimum, go into the room during a mattress run every now and then and use the hotel's facilities and restaurants. Didn't need to sleep there. Has worked for me.
Not many midscale options here (lowest I have seen is around $250 per night for the West Hotel in Sydney or $169 for...
No room bookings possible yet but it says it will be part of Hilton on the 13th December. That was quick!
The hotel already exists but it will be interesting to see the Diamond recognition. Dining already set-up with La Madonna but no buffet menu yet. An executive lounge at a Curio... interesting.
Since about August 2022 it is in the online booking system. Only shows up if it is a FHR or THC booking. It is now an automated process, which is neat.
Worked for both Hilton Melbourne & Sydney and worked at the Park Hyatt in Canberra. No manual intervention required.
Nights & points posted at the usual time (1-2 days).
Can also confirm that I got the 2nd batch of 20 nights as part of the Accor Plus promotion earlier on in the year (November anniversary).
Problem is there is less than 2 months left before it resets 😅 .
Based on the offers I seen so far I think it is bonus points which dont count towards status. But you can find a way to negotiate with the hotel, I think I have seen it work on various forums by charging everything to a room during the wedding.
Aspire $50 airline credit DP. It is actually active now. Didn't plan to book any flight this quarter so spent it on Club Jetstar. Counted as an airline credit and got the cashback within 3 days.
Does bode well for Qantas Wine so I will try that next.
I guess another way is to see if we could use the 4 x $50 on airline gift cards/vouchers. Have to check it quarterly though. Will wait for DPs on that.
Some changes on the Aspire:
$2 x 200 resort credit... not bad, a good excuse to go to the Gold Coast at least twice per year 😅
$4 x 50 flight credit (once per quarter) but you can use it on amextravel.com or directly with an airline. Travel bank method no longer required. YMMV.
No way we can...
Btw for anyone who needs to update their Wise account (now Community Federal Savings Bank) to pay the card off, it worked like a charm. Payment went through as usual.
Works for Hilton and Hyatt so far, booking shows up automatically in the hotel app which is always promising.
Credited with points and nights quite quickly.
Member Week offers are here and the Hilton 200/80 comes up, only one that is likely of interest. But... only for Hilton Hotels in the US (Curio Collection, Canopy, Tapestry Collection, Motto, Tempo properties). Ahh...
