    Oneworld Explorer ticketing

It sounds like you've struggled enough with making sense of it all already. Please feel free to message me privately and I can sort one out for you. The rule was removed completely from the fare rules around Feb 2019 as it is long obsolete. The original rule where the fare charged had to be...

    Oneworld Explorer ticketing

There is a catch though - you have to do an AA overwater segment and that one segment costs a few hundred easily in fuel fines. QR, QF, AS and JL are overall the best ticketing carriers for these.

Missing Credit Madness [Qantas refusing Credit for Travel on Partner/oneworld Airlines]

BA U class redemptions were crediting to QFF as BA I class, not J class. To this day I cannot figure out why BA was rewriting the class to I class. It was BA sending the I class across, it had nothing to do with QF other than QF just crediting as per BA's data.

Linking JAL flight to Qantas Account

QF don't have viewership rights for JL created PNRs. QF has viewership of BA/CX/UL/AY created PNRs even when there's no QF content, hence you can add these PNRs to the QF app ... that's all the ones I'm aware of. Of course, QF can always view a PNR that contains QF content, or has had QF...

Linking JAL flight to Qantas Account

Not anymore. When they moved to Amadeus they were forced by Amadeus to adopt pretty much the full suite of Amadeus products. I believe there's still a frontend ie. website difference where they maintain domestic vs international manage booking tools, but in the backend it's all Amadeus.

Linking JAL flight to Qantas Account

JL has been on Amadeus, the same system as QF, for a number of years.

Obtain PNR of the Airline you are Flying when Booked via a different program?

You're confusing distribution agreements with PSS (passenger servicing system). Airlines generally sign distribution agreements with all major GDSes. Thus VS would have a distribution agreement with Amadeus, Sabre and Galileo/Travelport and possibly others. They would possibly also have a...

    Oneworld Explorer ticketing

The global explorer, which has a 34000 mile limit, is the same price as the oneworld explorer, which doesn't have a mileage limit. Sometimes the underlying system throws up the global explorer fare by default instead of the oneworld explorer fare. I suspect this is the reason behind why the...

Obtain PNR of the Airline you are Flying when Booked via a different program?

You'll need to call VS to get the GA record locator. VS is actually hosted on Deltamatic. They moved from SHARES about 10 years ago so that they could be on the same platform as DL which makes pax servicing a lot simpler.

American Airlines Will No Longer Award Miles Unless You Book Direct

That's probably an understatement. A lot of US agencies in particular effectively stopped selling AA unless someone specifically asked for AA.

Qantas Upgrades - Successes or Failures (post results)

In some cases the platinums missed out, in other cases they cleared quite late into J. Upgrades are generally done in the order of W->J, Y->J, Y->W. This maximises the number of pax who clear an upgrade by at least one cabin. Having seen on various flights, who clears first and at what...

Qantas Upgrades - Successes or Failures (post results)

Not always - I have seen multiple cases where a bronze in W upgraded into J before a platinum in Y upgrading to J.

    QF P1 partner platinum

The expiry is supposed to be in sync with your P1 initially, but if your P1 lapses/expires or you remove them as the nominee, they will keep the platinum until their own anniversary month at which point it'll be reassessed on their own earnings.

    JAL Info and advice please

Without seeing dates and itinerary I can't comment directly... but as long as the inventory is there, there's no reason why you cannot have 6 passengers in premium economy. Happy to have a look for you, please feel free to message me privately.

Why can’t QF codeshare with AA on transatlantic flights to cater for the West AUS <> East USA market?

QF already offer fares that allow you to go PER-SIN-LHR-EU-LHR-US-LAX/DFW/JFK-SYD/BNE/MEL-PER. The catch is you need to go via the pacific in one direction, but you don't have to go that way in both directions. I know this is not the same as via Europe in both directions, but it's halfway...

Booking a return ticket for a child (under 6) with different parent - is this possible?

There isn't. There's no standardised procedure that's listed in a reference article or anything like that.

Booking a return ticket for a child (under 6) with different parent - is this possible?

Yes absolutely you can do this. I'm not sure how well versed the contact centre is in dealing with this scenario. As an agent, I do it all the time for separated/divorced parents, whether it's all commercial or a mix of award and commercial (eg. adult A is on award, adult B is on award, child...

Lounge access with PE booking but business class seat allocation, no status?

Yes they have lounge access out of the NZ port before the QF service across the tasman, but not at the AU port for the onwards flight. This scenario has existed for many years, long before any NZ/QF agreement. The same happens on AA W fares ex-NZ via SYD/MEL/BNE to the US.

    NAB reconsiderations?

They can conditionally approve it subject to proof the other card is closed.
