Pets in the Cabin - Coming soon on Virgin Australia

How is this different from some Karen who cries about [insert anything here]? I don't see any difference. A Karen will be a Karen, regardless at the airport, or restaurant, or at a servo 🤷‍♂️ When you go into a pub or cafe, you already have to walk thru the front door which is full of people...

Pets in the Cabin - Coming soon on Virgin Australia

1: This could be handled like how you handle oversize / weight bags (Jetstar), or drunken passengers. You deal with them before boarding. 2: The pilot still has the final say as to who is or isn't flying. So this is not even a problem which is created by pets, but a problem with how to deal...

Pets in the Cabin - Coming soon on Virgin Australia

This is impossible. From the article: That change was quietly approved last month by FSANZ, which accepted Virgin's application to amend the Food Standards Code, clearing the way for small pets like cats and dogs to travel in airline-approved carriers stowed under the seat in front of their...

Rex in voluntary administration, ending all 737 services

That's not how it works. Think about bus services. A region is given to an operator, most routes and services would be loss making, bar maybe one or two which actually breaks even. The respective government would pay for the services (or timetable) to ensure the operator could still make a...

    MEL taxi scam

That could be true. I always know where I am going. I may not know which path, or to turn left or turn right, but I know where or what I'm looking for.

    MEL taxi scam

I have to say that I have never been approached in Melbourne. Surprised by this article. I'm a Sydneysider, so only exit from domestic; and I walk out in cargo pants with a Samsonite spinner. Guess I look like a hobo who stole a suitcase?

    Coles gift card offers

Actually, I have been using the EFTPOS gift cards from Coles from a few weeks ago, so I have been pressing SAV, yet, I had been to so many shops where their EFTPOS would add 30c. I know that the cost to a merchant, by most banks, for EFTPOS, is only 10c. These EFTPOS terminals from memory are...

Public Transport to our airports - what's cheapest?

Please don't try this at home people. After what came to light with children safety, I don't think any bus driver would let a stranger onto a school bus anymore!

Article: Live Music in the Qantas Club

I don't think it's that. I would rather have that over a band playing music I don't like. I am not 'young' anymore, but the older I get, the more I hate those 'classic tunes'. The sort of music I listen to are those played on FBi radio or Oxford Art Factory for Sydneysiders, and Corner...

    New Amex statement credits

Yeah, at this much discount, maybe I would just put up with economy and pay cash and fly to the USA for a holiday ...

    I'm over (most) lounges

It's sad when there are more USB charging points at the food court outside, than inside the lounge. This happens a lot.

Flight Availability/Loadings & Upgrade Probability Help Desk

I think you are asking the wrong question. Sydney domestic and Sydney international are a few kilometres away from each other. It is impossible to walk from one to another. The cheapest is to wait for the free transfer bus, but it's every 15 minutes frequency, and the trip takes 10 minutes...

    Coles gift card offers

These are magnetic cards on paper cardboards, so you need to swipe on the EFTPOS terminal, press SAV, then PIN. Which also means that you are correct in that these cannot be used for online purchase. Just like EFTPOS cards from banks without MC / Visa, are not accepted online.

    Updates to the Krisflyer Programme

I have asked this question at shops, and I have been told that I wasn't the only person paying with Kris+. However, I also doubt as to the number of people who use it for payment, since they are giving away so much free money. I would benefit from it a lot if I have a job in the city of Sydney...

    Updates to the Krisflyer Programme

I would not mix up Pelengo or Kris+ with the SQ frequent flyer program. I think they have been trying to drive up usage since the release of these 2 programs / apps. I personally use Kris+ to pay for bubble tea and ramen, and outlets I talked to told me that they do get a few customers paying...

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

I cannot see any marking which indicates that this bear is from SQ. You sure they didn't get it from Kmart? I would not mix up Pelengo or Kris+ with the SQ frequent flyer program. I think they have been trying to drive up usage since the release of these 2 programs / apps. I personally use...

Hong Kong Airlines - Virgin Australia Partnership

Interesting. I have paid for Seat.aero, but I, or my friend who is the person doing this trip, don't have membership with Hong Kong Airlines / Fortune Wing, so can't cross check.

Pets in the Cabin - Coming soon on Virgin Australia

As stated above, it's regulatory problem. These things take time. I would say that people who see this as a risk have a very uninformed view on the market. There are approximately 28 million pets in Australia (RSPCA / Animal Medicines Australia). Australia population is 27.5 million. That's...

    New Amex statement credits

That made no sense, I thought it meant buying tennis racket. Well, turn out it's talking about the competition. "on-site at Wimbledon between 30/06/2025 and 14/07/2025 to receive one AU$40 credit" - Is AmEx a sponsor? "Excludes spend made for on-site parking." - fair enough, you want to push...
