Yeah when VA flew SYD-LAX, it was often a trick to fly to NZ and then book NZ-SYD-LAX to get a better price. Just had to suffer the flights back and forth across the Tasman… but fortunately we’re a bunch of Frequent Fliers who don’t mind that kind of thing 😆.

Weight versus Item count has always miffed me… sure, I get that weight sometimes becomes a WHS issue, but the volume of a bag 7kgs v 10kgs is often the same. I guess that’s the US item model isn’t it where they are unlimited in weight ISTR.

You need to travel on JAL domestic J then to discover they only offer a glass of water ISTR. Oh sorry, it’s actually either a hot or cold beverage in their J Class.

VA offer free food and snacks in Business class…. In comparison to the local domestic J competition, prices can be very economical too and IME (and comparing the postings on the relevant Business class meals threads here) the food offerings in J seem to be a higher quality of presentation and...

I've always wondered what they mean when the CSM announces "If there's anything we can do to make your flight more comfortable, don't hesitate to ask...". I guess it means you can ask, but doesn't mean they will always attempt to make your flight more comfortable... As usual, it really does...
