Yeah I have just compared VA code share on SQ metal to Hanoi from Perth. Biz class results in 700 dollars difference flying with VA number against SQ!! How can that ever be justified or even allowed? Same flights.and from what I see, same conditions of ticket.

If I recall correctly, I did this as tag flights in the past (within last 3 years) on AY ticket but using CX metal while chasing BA tier points.

It's a gimmick. QF should block it for status pax if loads allow. It's another money making process.

Yep I think it's kinda 'gimmicky".. and.it was not that long back that Virgin had another stupid thing which was a middle seat thing...sit in the middle and.get a prize or something..🙄....how about just offering Platinum something more worthwhile.

Well yes but someone in 3b or 3e I think is also uncomfortable. Personally if not taken I think VA should be "blocking" the middle seat for Platinum with NO cost. BA do this for one if not full even way down the back.

Probably...but more fool them for letting QF get away with it. I've just checked the same dates and with MH you can fly in biz from Perth to London and back for an additional one thousand five hundred dollars. (7,500 all up). Seriously...QF need to be dumped from One World. They are the biggest...

Sounds exciting....but if it is paid for why are considering VA FF status. Perhaps your strategy should be for one world highest tier on the trip and enjoy their benefits? Achieve OW Emerald and as I am assuming you will be in the higher cabin throughout the trip you will also receive benefits...

When you are shuttling between PER and anywhere like ADL, MEL SYD, CBR, you get hot breakfasts, lunches and dinners (not snacks). A couple of bottles of wine, etc etc on QF. . Quite useful for many compared to VA where even if you think, "eat in lounge" the offering is just worse than school...

Ultimately though, there is actually only a choice of two. The Y class set up is I think fundamentally different with what the onboard experience is or should be...when we consider seat choice, food and drink, more lounge options etc. The Biz class is in my opinion domestically, is better just...

Well that depends on how far ahead you wanna book. I see SYD-CBR for 200 dollars one way. In fact I see a "cracker" for 99 dollars with VA....via OOL!! 4 and half hours of fun. 😂

My own experiences on VA on this topic is mainly positive. I think they handle priority boarding quite well at many of the stations. I also think the numbers might drop due to the programme changes. I guess though having Plat, Golds, Business pax and X economy all at one time will and does...
