Qantas needs to give Swissport a kick; priority baggage means first onto to baggage carousel, not last. When it's belt down with rain, as it was when we transited through SYD last Saturday, throw a tarp over the bags. Simple things. Guess that's what you get when you sack your baggage handlers...

We had the butter chicken pie from SYD to CNS yesterday, was piping hot, tasty, crispy and yes flakey. Mrs Nut pointed out that they might pull this one soon, pastry flakes were hard to control. Could be messy with kids plowing into them.

In short, yes. Mrs Nut thinks I'm a flog and a snob but just she quietly enjoyed the Qantas Sydney F lounge, the domestic J lounges and the other WP perks.

If what I've read on ET's right, only P1's get the new brag tags automatically. Us P peasants only get them on on attainment or renewal. Qantas adding insult to injury with the row 4/extra leg room debacle. Might as well be Gold across a couple of alliances.

Where'd your nephew fly out of? Running one lounge makes sense if there's little to no demand. On the weekends Qantas Canberra consolidates and only opens the J lounge to all the usual suspects after the busy Saturday morning patch. Pity though, the QP is airside with a nicer view.

So much of the much publicised lounge upgrades. Amazing how other airlines can reno their lounges faster than it takes Qantas to swap out of few bits of coughpy furniture.
