Success at T-7 for MEL to BNE for 2 this afternoon. Bit surprised given it was showing J1 yesterday but will take the win.
Wouldn't normally upgrade on a 738 but it's our last flight together before bubs is due.
Some plane spotting will certainly be on the cards!
Not a bad idea, QF37 departs at 5pm and my connecting flight from BNE arrives around 10am in the morning so could sample both menus.
A mate and I will be in the MEL Flounge in 2 weeks - flying whY on QF. Any tips or suggestions? We'll be aiming to spend about 4hrs there - will ask for a spa treatment when we arrive in the hope we can get one before departure.
I submitted some positive feedback to this after a great flight - I got a really nice reply a few days later so I can assure that they pass these messages on.
Called to cancel today - didn't state outright that I wanted to cancel, but that I was considering it. The agent asked if a cheaper card would be preferred but that was all, then proceeded to go through the cancellation.
Didn't ask why I wanted to cancel and certainly didn't offer any retention...
There's no guarantee that any given flight will have J CR available.
You might have more luck in the ~2 weeks prior to departure, I've found Emirates tend to have availability closer to departure these days.
The international red tail sale ends tonight, but there is now a Queensland sale that ends on the 12th Feb, so I wouldn't expect anything until after that..
At Sydney I generally find Ubers and Taxis very hit and miss so I just grab the train into the CBD as I find it's more consistent.
Wait times have always been massive when I arrive.
Thanks, I was wondering where it was coming from. Normally I'd take this as an opportunity for an easy upgrade to a lie-flat - but having not flown any PE before I'm keen to try that, which will be like a free 737 upgrade minus catering anyway.
It looks like QF503 BNE to SYD will be serviced by a 787-9 Monday week. Not sure if this is a common occurrence but as far as wide bodies go I've only ever seen the odd A330 on this route.
Looking forward to trying PE for the first time though!
