    Woolworths gift card thread

That might make for a long receipt but nothing I haven't done before! I'm not a member of the other orgs commented; I just pine for the days of 20x edr (10x qff) when purchasing a new phone, etc. But 4-5% guaranteed is nothing to sneeze at.

Virgin and Qantas to ban power bank use

It won't, but often 3-5 hours in the air between Perth and the east coast is a great opportunity to smash out some work - let alone longer daytime flights up to Asia. I do enjoy a good disconnect as much as the next person when I don't have things to do, but IFE has been increasingly thrust...

Club Jetstar Extras announced: Qantas Frequent Flyer Extra

I was thinking this could be interesting for qffs who fly jq routes and use price matching, but the cap and price might limit its feasibility

I may have my maths wrong (doing from phone, not a spreadsheet) but it looks like it's been swept in, as I've now received the 10x SC on this. Hopefully anyone else depending on these has now had them count as well.

Virgin and Qantas to ban power bank use

Exactly, and I just don't trust that I'm going to get on a 737 with a USB port that both works and provides more than 1A of current. What's frustrating is having to change my behaviour because of some goose (or a flock of geese) made dodgy devices that are burning down houses and putting lives...

Virgin and Qantas to ban power bank use

I was thinking more like failure to follow directions of crew member instructions. I have relied on a reputable brand's power bank many times on both long and short journeys, flights and otherwise without injury, and feel fires are related device quality issues as opposed to power banks...

Virgin and Qantas to ban power bank use

It's not as challenging as it was but it's hardly ubiquitous. Need some way to power up a device on a 4+ hour stretch and we are hardly guaranteed an in seat power point - the old USB A sockets next to IFE hardly work and when they do, seem to charge a device slower than it drains. What's the...

Mine is showing up under the "others" category - hopefully I won't need to rely on these in the end but I fear it may cause a few calls to the call centre to reallocate... Thanks for the heads up, it's Mrs excel's first time using it so hopefully should go through smoothly.

Decided to jump in and get four boxes of favourites (and 360 points) just to increase the likelihood of reaching 1000 BP points by the end of December. Should get there reasonably comfortably now.

    Coles gift card offers

15% is a big commission. These must have a lot of commission from retailers and/or breakage. Also suggests there's still plenty of buffer when there's 5-10% in effective cashback via points awarded.

Is anyone else considering a new sniip account for the 2000 bonus points, to go after the 20sc if you don't already have a Qantas card or similar? Only other option I can see is $1k of Qantas spend using a Qantas pay card.

We wanted the smaller/lighter option so went with the new V8 cyclone this week for 584. Recent release so probably could have got it cheaper if we waited but alas the vacuuming won't wait for it to go on sale

Thank you to the user who used my link a few months ago! It's now my first ready cashback and i've requested a nice $50 payout. (on another note, my first couple of transactions are still pending, after which an earlier poster should receive their bonus in turn for linking me in!)

Isn't it bothersome when things like discount get in the way of a good points Earner?!? I once had to plead four bonus points to be reinstated when my calculated coles shop ended up just under its Target rather than over because of a discount I wasn't expecting

Qantas Project Sunrise goes ahead, 12 new A350-1000s ordered

The conversation has moved on a bit I do wonder if the ramping up code shares and partnerships with AF/KLM and existing ones with AY ex-SIN might be a piece of the puzzle in filling au<>sin capacity, enabling all cities to connect on to the sin/LHR. Many flights seem to have half a dictionary...
