ALL member suites at Qudos Arena

I've been three times to the suite at Qudos Bank Arena and once to the suite at Accor Stadium. I didn't think I had been that much, but then on my last visit to Qudos, the wait staff came up to me and asked how I'm always here. I actually think the food is quite high quality, but this is in...

Qantas involuntary upgrades to Business Lounges

Seen this in MEL, BNE and CBR, generally weekend off peak times. I assume it happens semi regularly in SYD as well but less obvious to me as you don't need to walk past the QP to get to or from the J lounge.

Qantas Status Credits when flying Malaysia Airlines

Got all excited until I saw Z class still earns as 'Flexible Economy'.

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

QF can, but not always, does better when it's a proper wide body aircraft. I assume the galley space is limited on the 737 and isn't really suited to plating together a meal from several different boxes that QF tries to do on long haul flights. They might be better off doing the trans-tasman...

    “new” QF B737-800s

Could just be that they keep the SQ interior for a year? The key difference is one row of Y right? Not sure it makes sense to refit the interior to something different to the other refurbs when it's only a year away, but I don't run an airline.

    “new” QF B737-800s

Assuming it's the same refit that the other 737's are getting - then yes same cabin. https://www.pointhacks.com.au/news/qantas-boeing-737-major-cabin-overhaul/ https://www.executivetraveller.com/news/qantas-new-737-business-economy-seats

    “new” QF B737-800s

Are they keeping the SQ interior for a while or are they going straight to re-fit?

    Qantas starts international wifi

I didn't expect the pleasant conversation to devolve into high school level name calling, and so quickly too. 1. I did say 'could see you penalised'. 2. The regulation doesn't have an expiry. In any case it appears to be broadly worded and leaves the interpretation of 'using a mobile device'...

Dear Qantas: It’s Not Me, It’s You (A220s, Lounges, Curry, and Other Adventures)

Not in BNE. The regular security screening is currently some kind of metal shed with a single long line. Then you walk the long way to the other entrance to the lounges.

    Qantas starts international wifi

Nothing wrong with messaging from a plane if WiFi is available. However, using cellular service while in the air is in contravention of CASA rules for Using your electronic devices on flights and could see you penalised against the CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY REGULATIONS 1998 - REG 91.170 Operation of...

    Qantas starts international wifi

It was actually 6x A380's or half the fleet. I still wonder if they fully removed the hardware or if it's there but deactivated. https://www.executivetraveller.com/qantas-scrubs-plans-for-inflight-internet...

Qantas using 737 without seatback IFE for international flights?

The entertainment app now has a map as well, it's interactive and much better then the one on the IFE screens. Though I couldn't seem to find a way to pull up info on distance, time of arrival ETC.

Qantas using 737 without seatback IFE for international flights?

I think I've mentioned this in the other thread, but my theory is the seat-end screen+computer can't decode modern codecs such as MPEG4 or HEVC which are potentially half the file size of MPEG2. The server end on the 737's likely has limited space and QF decided they could fit in more content if...

Dear Qantas: It’s Not Me, It’s You (A220s, Lounges, Curry, and Other Adventures)

Lines for the toilet and Y pax using the J toilet are a thing on the mainline too. I don't think I've ever seen a Y pax sent back to the rear toilets in years on a 737.

Dear Qantas: It’s Not Me, It’s You (A220s, Lounges, Curry, and Other Adventures)

Some interesting points. Some I'm indifferent to, but my thoughts on these ones. They should really bring this back. I think the random water bottle that's sometimes given out is up to crew discretion. I find VA J food much better presented, but sometimes not better in taste/quality. This has...

    Qantas x July

Does not support precision finding, otherwise it works like any other AirTag. It can't do both Apple and Google at once. Switching between them requires you to unpair the tag and then reset it.
