Are people seeing significant knockbacks even with ≥9 I class fares available?
Had no luck this week at all despite giving 7 day ranges for departure & return and multiple destination options.
Looking at BNE to CDG/LHR in Jan / Feb next year.

Nope, only Qantas in the last few years. Are the people that fly on those airlines not total morons incapable of handling their baggage efficiently or something?

The difficulty is that a large percentage of passengers are braindead idiots who are incapable or uninterested in following basic rules.
It should honestly be 1 item only, I'd even support removing all carry-on that won't fit under your seat.
Forget about long haul Y, who's going to actively decide to fly Qantas Int. J when not incentivized to do so? They aren't even the 3rd best option flying in and out of Australia and are generally the most expensive.
Not sure how similar BA and QF are honestly, outside of being "National Carriers". Markets, geography and destinations are all vastly different.
I think people forget how unique Qantas' circumstances are sometimes.
I think I have made this point before but something to consider would be the impact on the international business as a byproduct of changes to domestic passenger behaviours.
Qantas has a relatively weak product in the international space and I imagine QFF loyalty helps them significantly here...
