We're planning a very similar itinerary for Nov-Dec this year. QF1 to Singapore, 2 nights in Singapore then on to Helsinki. Coming back we'll be overnight in Singapore before taking a flight the next day direct back to Brisbane. All one way CR flights.

After reading through a lot of the P1 experiences thread I can't personally see the value in going out of one's way to attain it.

Does anyone know if it's possible to request a release as WP with a non-family member travelling with the WP on the same booking? I know that it's clear that WP can only request on behalf of family if the WP is not travelling.

I always wondered if fare basis was taken into account - makes total sense that a full J or really any cash fare should trump an upgrade.

You would think being WP in 1A you'd be near guaranteed to be served first 😂

In my experience across 26 J sectors this year pretty evenly split between QF and VA, I've found QF to be far more consistent in how meal selection and the general formalities are delivered. VA has been 50:50 between seat position and status for ordering, with the presenting thing an outlier. I...

Of the ~200 people a few percent are going to be of the entitled type and unfortunately travel seems to bring that trait out in the best of people. My favourite thing about this system imo is that it's actually enforced, if not for anything but to allow priority boarding actually remain priority.

I did OLCI for a domestic 737 and after check in the system moved me from 5A to 11A without any notification.. I was able to move it back fine though.

Ah, I think you have to call to change destination - I haven't personally tried it though.

You don't pay a change fee but you will pay a fare difference if there is one - but you'll realise that whether you change or cancel and rebook. CR is flexible but 5,000 point change fee.

Last week 3 out of 4 sectors were served 1A to 3F which is what I usually see, but on the last one they served someone in 1F first and then resumed 1A to 3F from there. They might've been particularly VIP.. I don't recall seeing it deviate otherwise though - VA is always different.

I had 4 DSC sectors this week and they posted 24hrs after my arrival.

Spent about 30min there early Tuesday afternoon. Very busy, not much seating available, but it looked nice and fresh. Plenty of charging spots was great too. Mens urinals were pretty stained and dirty though, probably the sheer amount of traffic.

13th Nov 2025, SYD-SIN QF1 F9A9 success for 2pax! Got the domestic connection in J as well which was no issue as discussed earlier in the thread.
