I enjoyed Air Tahiti Nui. Took them from Syd to NYC via Tahiti. A nice stop over half way across the pacific to stretch the legs a little bit. This flight was a while ago. From memory it was on an A340.

PS. It does seem hard to try to take advantage of the 12 month stay option. And trying to get to BKK in late Dec and Jan it seems even Y fares are ridiculous hehe.

Can anyone see any availability left with these airfares? Ideally in mid or early Jan or as late as possible in March? I was thinking, as OP suggested, trying to leverage this fare with a return fare back from Europe given the 12 month return date option but struggling to see anything.

Amsterdam airport. Made the mistake of leaving my belt on. Received the most thorough frisk search from security. Full marks for the thoroughness but he came close to copping a feel of the nether regions which started to make me less appreciative of the thoroughness.

Seems about standard. Think about taking a cheaper flight out of Oz perhaps. It's the Oz tax but $3k is standard in J on that route with SQ (arguably it's cheap).

Do not fly QF much these days but have a stash of points. Just got an alert saying they are about to expire. Might usually grab a domestic flight to keep the active but that is not happening now.
