    Japan - hotels ?

Last minute trip to Japan on the cards. Last minute as in leaving Friday. Flights are expensive for Japan but I can live with that. But hotels are a huge huge problem. I usually stay in the Hyatt chain and they are coming in at over $1000 a night. I looked at SPG and Marriott and not much...

No [SQ SYD] International Lounge Access on 17 March

Ceres. That's shocking. It is a bit of a mess. I had to carefully study the guide to work out which lounge to turn up at for access.

    Christmas Flight Ideas

Still on the hunt. Focussed on Singapore. Has anyone flown Scoot? Another option is direct to Sin with QF and then Singapore to Jakarta with Jetstar and then home with Qantas. The Jetstar options stops in Darwin for 5 hours before moving on which is just stupid so that is out. Darwin for 5...

Trooper. Thanks for the heads up! For that price, I shall definitely look into it. Maybe I just take that fare and try to find another use for the SQ points. Had so looked forward to J in SQ.

US Trip - Dilemma and advice sought

Greetings fellow AFF members. I am hopeful for some guidance and tips on what I consider to be a dilemma. So we are planning a trip to the US (partner and our child). We are looking to fly into SFO and then go to MIA. Here is is the dilemma bit. I have enough SQ points to get me to SFO...

    Have you Stuck with QF?

I have done a fair bit of flying recently for work. Domestic Y. Syd to Cbr has been a frequent route. I complained previous about the cancellations on this route. The last time I flew both my trip down and trip back were cancelled. I had to fight tooth and nail to get on a flight that would get...

    Have you Stuck with QF?

I can vouch for what flying mermaid is saying about CBR. I have had to fly there a bit for work lately and cancellations are common. I shifted to VA for a while and found the same.

Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Some recent people (if you can call them famous). Jacquie Lambie on Syd to Cbr James Roberts checking in for regional QF flight (Broncos player) Martin Ferguson on Syd to Mel (sitting in Y). Surprised at that one.

QF Double Status Credits (SC) offer for all :)

Thanks to all for the posts. I have gone and had a look at the statement again. It seems as though one of the return flight has not come in yet. Will wait a while longer.

QF Double Status Credits (SC) offer for all :)

Can I ask a question which I am not too sure has been addressed in the thread. I have had some of the credits post. However I think they have posted incorrectly. For example I had a return flight in Y between Melbs and Sydney. The flight down was in discount (so 10 sc). The flight back was...

Hawaii - USA - Open Jaw?

I should also say, now, that it has been gently suggested to me (ever so!) that just finding a resort in California might be an option for a beach break close to SFO or down past LA. I could drive it I suppose which could be fun. So spend a few days in SFO and then drive down to a beach...
