Where's all the UA J (Polaris) TPAC availability gone?

I wouldn't suggest doing this unless you have elite status with UA or are a Chase UA card holder as expanded award availability is restricted to them.

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

If you mean the end game for Qantas points, I think we're reaching a stable equilibrium for now. 1.25c/pt for premium cabins & 1c/pt for economy with Classic Plus. A capping of value of Classic Awards through (a) low availability (b) high surcharges and (c) higher points prices, meaning even...

Who else still holds the Citibank Free For Life Premier Card?

Which is not the Australian Consumer Law. The Australian Consumer Law is sch 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010. Any consumer lawyer would know the rules are not the same. They have some similar protections, but the Australian Consumer Law contains far more detailed and precise...

Who else still holds the Citibank Free For Life Premier Card?

Putting to one side this very long post that shows you do not understand consumer protection law (eg "the Australian Consumer Law" does not apply to financial products), it misses the elephant in the room. Even if NAB decide to honour the representation of 'No Annual Fee for Life', they are...

Who else still holds the Citibank Free For Life Premier Card?

Issuers of products are allowed to cancel products and the benefits attached to those products. They do that all the time. There is no breach of Australian Consumer Law in doing so. There is also no breach of the ACL in offering customers an equivalent, but not identical, product in its stead...

Lots of travel industry people — or people who know travel industry people — have access to this data (eg people with access to staff travel entitlements).

Earn up to 110 Qantas Status Credits on the ground

I think when you combine this promo with the literal gift of 80SC to SG & 150SC to all WP for free (with absolutely no spend requirement) last month, which wouldn't affect any VFF defectors, it is clear they're not meeting their own member retention targets.

Double and Triple Velocity Status Credit October 2025 - Targeted

It still makes sense. The old approach (easier elite qualification) doesn't give VA much control over its number of elites — a whole bunch of people work out how to game the system and suddenly you find yourself with way more elites than you expected. The new approach (harder qualification...

This probably tells you all you need to know on how Qantas is currently faring with elite member retention.

    Qantas' New A321XLR

Isn't the bladder issue precisely a question of whether the aircraft measures up against what other carriers are offering?

    How to book QF LHR-GLA?

In general, you can't book flights on other carriers as standalone cash flights (ie BA LHR-GLA). Can only be booked in connection with a Qantas flight (eg SYD-SIN-LHR-GLA).

Card payment sucharges banned in Australia from 2026

I share this view. While the banks of course profit from current arrangements, whether you pay by rewards credit card, no-rewards credit card or debit card, they clip the ticket no matter what. If they lose their interchange, they'll simply stop purchasing Qantas points. Qantas is the biggest...

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

That's the problem. Even when Classic Plus appear to be 'good' value because they're cheaper than Classic, it's only because Classic awards are bad value (compared to the cash price), not because Classic Plus are good value.
