    QF Platinum Recognition on flights

How does this enhance the flight or the experience? If the bot says go make inane platitudes does it really enhance the flight? If it leads to subsequent enhanced service perhaps some benefit but otherwise?

DXB business lounge, multiple entries on long layover

I find it one of the least impressive. The entire floor of the terminal as a lounge makes it just a large, generally empty terminal. You still have to queue for showers though and it's just a big soulless space. YMMV. I actually found the J lounge had more soul.

Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

JQ doesn't have elites, they can't recognise what they don't have. No further discussion needed. People need to recognise JQ isn't QF.

Qantas Project Sunrise goes ahead, 12 new A350-1000s ordered

Because many F lounge users are not premium, but it helps to keep them stuck to QF?

AFF Review: Qantas A380 First Class (SYD-JNB)

You mean the CL/P1/F option that used to be on the standard F lounge menu available to everyone.

    Qantas domestic economy meals

It was never pizza. A lump of soggy dough with some topping. Whilst they can dry out many foods reheating them, the one time it was really needed, it never seemed to happen. There was fish and chips in a box too, they also couldn't dry that out but it was quite edible I found (unlike the pizza).

Back to the future. They were serving something like this about 10 years ago.

    Qantas' New A321XLR

"Common" sense from a PAX circulation perspective would say a toilet is required towards the front of Y, especially as these aircraft get stretched in the Y section. Hey, a front toilet would even provide a separator from J and divert those who might have thought about heading to the J cubicle...

    Qantas' New A321XLR

All those extra legroom seats at the front of Y... If only QF had stronger competition.

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

This has been going on for a while. I previously booked CRs with days notice on Mel-syd no issue, plenty of options, recently it was the same: JQ or 6am only. QFF is a dud now.

quick review from the Garden lounge, Qsuite MEL-DOH-CDG experience

It's the same with EK, when the lounge is an entire floor of the terminal it isn't really a lounge, just an empty space with free amenities...

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

As they are on QF. They don't plate all the meals at once, there's a sliding start time which may impact take-off to completion, but shouldn't impact first course to last course for an individual. When the main takes so long to arrive that you have to ask if they've forgotten you (not unheard...

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

2.5 hours for a meal service is just ridiculous. 3 courses, they can have 45 minutes max (from delivery of course 1 to delivery of course 3). It only takes a few minutes to eat each course, 20 mins from clearing one plate to delivering the next is more than enough from the consumers perspective...

But where too? The tray is clearly not big enough and there's not enough real estate on the table for the tray and the plate.

    General Medical issues thread

Have just done a first aid course, the instructor had a CPR shield folded into a tiny pouch attached to his keyring. 30 compressions, 2 breaths is the current MO and yes compressions if you're not prepared to do breaths is the recommendation. There are face shields with one way valves available...
