Solar Panel, Power & Battery Discussion

6.30am this morning Mr Denali woke me up, being very giggly and poking me to show me his phone. We got our latest electricity bill Our account is still in credit, even with the stupid $1.50 per DAY fee.

    Western Sydney Airport (WSI) Discussion

New Sydney airport train FYI. Apparently they will stream live airport arrivals/departures. My only issue is its from St Marys so you have to get to/from St Marys on the very average Sydney trains first. Thats a no thank you from me

Do not disturb sign being ignored

Ive only once had an issue and it was the Quest Homebush after a Rolling Stones concert and housekeeping tried to barge in at 8.30am. The door lock/latch thingy prevented her from storming in Its 8.30am after a concert and we had late check out - bugger off

From the paperwork, because I dont pay attention to this as its Mr Denali's thing, EDIT: have used Q.MAXX 410w panels..... battery solution, my recommendation is the Sungrow 3-phase 10kW inverter coupled ... If you have more questions Im going to have to get Mr Denali down from his loft

Im told our system is set up that if we lose power, the bottom section is powered from the batteries so at least the fridge/freezer should keep going but not sure about multiple days

Spotlight had a Bakers Secret bundt sale. Usually $75, down to $8, which is ridiculous as only Nordic Ware is worth that much. But nice pan and first bake is choc cake

Solar Panel, Power & Battery Discussion

I keep complaining to Mr Denali that the solar panel ads make out that you will be raking in money so I'm disappointed by how little we get for feeding back to the grid. Mr Denali keeps telling me we won't pay a bill for the rest of our lives here not considering he's 63, I prefer more money 😂...

    2025 travel plans

I finally made my first hotel booking for May 2025 trip to Scotland via Manchester (arrival) and Liverpool (to get it out of Mr Denali's Beatles wants). 48hrs inside Changi airport for a layover on the way home, where we want to sit outside in the sun by the pool and finally see the Jewel 🤣...

For Brissie I would spend more on the unit. If we were to redo a kitchen in our lifetime we would include a icemaker to be hard wired into the cabinetry

Time to replace my 10+yr old dash cams (front & rear) and thinking of this https://dashcamownersaus.com.au/shop/dash-cameras/dual-channel/blackvue-dr770x-2ch/ I rarely drive, less than 5K per year and my car can be parked for days unused so dont want it hardwired so this seems to be mid range...

We were so impressed with the ice maker that I got for the office that I bought one for Mr Denali as we found we're both using the ice from the fridge so much we run out and for $120, its a good little machine to have in summer and easy to pack away after Feb...

I had some cream that had tomorrow as its expiry date so I thought I would give a go at making butter. For the price of cream there's no real incentive to do this regularly but I've thrown away cream before so now I have something I can do with it. I made 220gms butter and 350mls of buttermilk

The view or two from my "office"

So thats what the inside of a guitar store looks like? Ive only been in two and and he walked away with a Les Paul and a rare Flying V so I tend to avoid them, although Mr Denali is campaigning for a USA visit to Martins

That's because the bowl, which has to be frozen, takes up a huge amount of space in the freezer for the couple of times you attempt to make icecream May only complaint about the ninja creami is it's so tall. The space it takes up in the freezer are the tubs only, and you can have as few as you...
