I have an smsf pension and accumulation account. My annual statements for each state the taxable and non taxable %.
It should be somewhere in the annual statements.
Don’t know how many people but there were 80000 who had more than 3 million in super.
Has to be a lot more people with assets in super pensions also>1 million
Between 2.5-3 million people qualify for Sapto so it is not an insignificant amount.
Tinkering with super is not a bad idea though it is...
Been thinking about this a lot.
I am comfortably retired with decent assets but only pay a few thousand dollars in tax per year.
I have some capital gains that will eventually be taxed.
Per this paper https://grattan.edu.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/879-Age-of-entitlement.pdf ,Sapto and the...
I think they are looking to offload their retail banking business.
My wife retains a share account and an attached bank account and getting 6 figure funds out of them was painful with 4 phone calls involved ,so I would not recommend them.
I got another email from [email protected] saying I will receive an email again from Deloitte’s.

They compared it to div 293.
Also there is supposedly an option to pay the tax...
One thought that comforts me as a mere mortal superranuant (way below 3million) is that those mega funds will be subject to the 17% death tax !
I don’t understand why people put farms into their SMSF as being a lumpy investment it creates all sorts of problems in regard to the death tax and...
Maybe just a little different?
They trade some side effects.
I found tramadol more useful in herpetic neuralgia but never tried tapentadol in those patients.
I mainly saw side effects of tapentadol in those elderly patients who presented post orthopaedic surgery...
Sister in law turned 60 and her ?Hesta fund just automatically downgraded her from aggressive to balanced !
May work to her advantage in the short term if she is lucky but it’s her only investment.
Kudos to her for being in the aggressive strategy in the first place.
I think there are some complicated calculations that would need to be done and the ability to bring forward contributions to the 360000 every 3 years is dependant on your total superannuation balance , which you imply is close to the limits.
I suspect you need specialist advice which some...
