    Qantas Damaged Bag

So going back even further, when I did a claim upon arriving back to Australia with a damaged handle in 2014. Report of damaged bag was sent on the 15th November, claim was processed and I got a response on the 4th December. So a little less then 3 weeks? The resolution was a straight forward...

Article: Qantas Auckland Lounge Upgrade: The End of an Era

That's more of a 'legacy' lounge though, which is being replaced by a business only lounge and really should have been many years ago. There are cities that had an F lounge, but were taken away when service stopped (EG BKK, SIN). Though it does beg the question, did QF ever have an F service to...

    Qantas Damaged Bag

The last time my checked bag was damaged was 6 years ago. Came off a QF flight in SIN and noticed a corner had been smashed in. Went to the baggage counter, a report was written up, luggage was collected from the hotel that night, and a brand new one delivered 1 or 2 days later. Was quite...

Qantas boosts international capacity, wet lease Finnair aircraft

Could it be that Navan doesn't display the operating carrier when using the mobile phone / app view? Is there an email or pdf or desktop browser version of these pages and confirmations? You wouldn't have a ticket confirmation from Qantas if you booked through a TA (Navan).

Qantas boosts international capacity, wet lease Finnair aircraft

Interesting. My corporate provider is not Navan, but still very obviously indicates QF 291 (Operated by /FINNAIR FOR QANTAS), twice when selecting and twice again when confirming. I assume the information comes from the GDS because it's the same way the tool shows the operating carrier for...

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Had a very tender and perfectly medium rare steak on a recent flight to CGK. Hands down the best steak I've ever eaten in the air, beating QR, CX, BA J and even EK F. With more of sear I reckon it could've even passed on the ground. Hopefully not a once-off fluke by QF catering.

Current Qantas First Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL) and relevant topics

Pretty sure that was you at the table next to me at MEL F dining today. Unfortunately I'm a little too introverted to say hi, but thanks for the hint about getting Christmas PJ's from the front desk. The Grange was good!

Platinum restaurant benefit - USE THE CARD!

I don't think "Apple Pay" is the third party payment processor in this instance : it's qlub.io. I take it that you scanned a QR code, which was a website with an online menu, and then paid through that website on your phone. This is somewhat similar to ordering pick up through Uber Eats (though...

Purchased a Qantas Flex fare but when I requested a refund they insist it is "Red-E Deal"

FWIW I went back to a 2009 e-ticket, which is an older style, and it doesn't have the fare class either. However manually issued, courier text e-tickets do have classes. Screenshot for the nostalgia.

"You may earn an additional …"

The "may earn" only counts QF flights I believe. Which would mean your AY codes aren't included.

    Qantas A330-200 cabin refurbishments

EBO is an A330-200 (A332). All A330-300's have the newer eXLite + eX3 IFE. As above. all A330-300's have the newer IFE in Y. So that's all rego's VH-QPx. Looking at the official QF seat maps, the list would appear to be as below. A330-300 A330-200 A330-200 New IFE screens J+Y New IFE...

    Late, late and late again....

Yes, and also available on request for all who are eligible to access the F lounge. But not something they proactively offer due to a delay. Ah I see, I take what I said in post #6 about ODU's back then. However, the "upgrades up to the gate" are still subject to priority, and the seat may not...

    Late, late and late again....

You raise some good points - inconsistency of service, food, priority boarding ETC. However, I feel like some things are exaggerated, not managed by QF or not actually benefits. On departure upgrades for International are not an advertised benefit. I doubt it's an unofficial benefit either...

Current Qantas First Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL) and relevant topics

Can anyone even access the F lounge if traveling on the Bangkok Airways or China Eastern code? The flight doesn't have F, and OW status wouldn't help here would it? Therefore I'd think the last two flights in that column don't need to be there.

What on earth is QF doing?

Been on this flight many a time. There was a period a few years back where I think I must have been cursed, as I kept being bumped onto this flight due to weather issues or the plane going tech. There was one crazy weather situation, where the whole FIDS board was showing planes cancelled and...

Seat disappeared for reward booking on JL

JAL's angled Shell Flat Neo is a B/E Aerospace MiniPod. Pretty much the same seat as QF's SkyBed Mk1 (the original).
