Q Bag Tags unavailable for purchase?

Did you actually go ahead and do this? Because I think I spotted you the other day. Or someone who had the same idea.

Seat Allocation for QF Booking on Cathay Metal

Depends on the airlines. Both QF and CX use Amadeus, so their booking references are interoperable.

Interline luggage on separate bookings QF>IB, BA>QF

I've never had a problem with QF to QF separate ticket and through checking baggage. Last did it successfully in 2021. At Sunshine Coast too, where you might expect the agents to be less knowledgeable. Have not tried QF to OW since the rule changes.

Qantas club pass (access on Fiji airways flight)

I think the OP is a little confused as to what 'codeshare' means in this context. Yes, the flight has a QF codeshare available. But no, the OP is not booked on it. And you need to be booked on the codeshare to be able to use QP benefits as per the QF site. I assume he got in to the QP by good...

Qantas Earning on AA Basic Economy

Since COVID? There was no QFF earn on 'B' class AA fares in 2019 either. This is not just a QFF thing. It's actually very rare that cheap deep discount economy fares on any airline will earn on partner frequent flyer programs.

Life Time Gold - The [Realistic] Holy Grail

You don't even get an email anymore? I received one when reaching Lifetime Silver many years back. In fact I even got one when I was about 600 SC's off LTS, with subject "You've nearly reached Lifetime Silver status".

    747-400ER VH-OEG Aviationtag

Just got an email advising this has been released. The first ER to be made into a tag I believe. White/Red combination already sold out. https://www.aviationtag.com/en/collections/qantas?mc_cid=72f373e31d

Qantas First Lounge Syd vs JAL First Lounge HND?

Haneda F had a much more limited menu when I was there last year around dinner time. No table service for ordering either. Coupled with the space being a lot bigger, it felt less personal.

Linking two rewards flights - checked bags to the destination

Hijacking this thread somewhat. I have an award flight to the US, QF flight number. Then a paid AA flight about 7 hours later. Ordinarily, I'd think it's not worth through checking bags as you have to collect them and drop them off again anyway. But if not through-checked, I don't think it's...

    NAB acquires Citibank Australia

For me, at the very least I'd need to call and change my statement date in September as it's currently aligned to be after my monthly pay date, and would now be 11 days too early.

    NAB acquires Citibank Australia

Got the same email. So aligning with NAB's interest free period, but not the $1:1 QFF rate. The Citi premier is currently my daily non-Amex card. I will be reconsidering this.

Missing Credit Madness [Qantas refusing Credit for Travel on Partner/oneworld Airlines]

Ah, did not realise it was BA sending a class other then U to QFF. It still stands to reason that it's possible this was BA's solution to ensuring paid upgrades credited correctly. And that the 'fixing' of this behaviour has caused the issue that is described by Pushka.

Missing Credit Madness [Qantas refusing Credit for Travel on Partner/oneworld Airlines]

For those in the know, reward flights on BA used to earn full Status Credits and Points on QFF up until recently. Yes, BA flights booked outright as a Classic Reward in 'U' class credited as 'J'. Possibly QFF did this because of the scenario mentioned in post 38, leading to the loophole...

Q Bag Tags unavailable for purchase?

I got the pop up the other day to "choose my gift" for re qualifying. It said nothing about getting a Green Tier leaf for declining a bag tag. Just told me that it'd be the more "sustainable choice".

Qantas premium economy is a bit tired

I haven't traveled many Y+ cabins, but airbag seat belts are fairly common in J. You see them on CX, JAL, SQ. Even VA's 777 and A330's had them in "The Business". I'm aware it's some safety thing though don't know the specifics of it. The alternative being the three point belt, which is...

    Qantas Trans Tasman Pretend IFE

Not really any new information there. TLDR - content has always been limited on the 737's, recent updates to the UI made this more obvious as it lists additional content you can watch through the app. Reasoning is possibly due to storage constraints.

    Qantas Lifetime SC Bug?

I know someone who has not actually earned 10k lifetime SC's but has suddenly made it to LTG with all SC's seemingly earned this year.

Q Bag Tags unavailable for purchase?

There's an article on Executive Traveler about this now. They keep (maybe on purpose) conflating the new bag tracking app function to the legacy tags with RFID. The two technologies are complementary - one lets you avoid the need to manually print out a paper/plastic bag tag and the other lets...

Q Bag Tags unavailable for purchase?

Feels like a step backwards. How is printing lots of paper/plastic tags at check in more sustainable then the re-usable RFID tags? I guess at the very least people won't question why the tags are placed on hand luggage and perhaps realise that the tags can be used as a means of visual...

Qantas QF7 retimed to 11.50am departure from Sydney

I got the email about the time change for QF7 this morning. A little inconvenient as I now need to take an extra day off work, but I'm assuming the flight will still be running. The QF MMB website is very confused though - the email tells me to accept or change the new flight. However there's...
