I got it too. I've been holding off going to Bangalore because of the perceived flying experience. Old A332 in un-refurbed Y and small IFE screen for 12 hours isn't my idea of pleasant.

I don't mind the A332's in J, with the only gripe being the single lavatory. I had one once to Perth where that lavatory was un-serviceable, resulting in a long walk to the back of the plane for the toilet. *horror*.

I've had no issues accessing the QR SIN lounge with a QF2 BP originating from SIN. Guessing the QR system must check that the origin airport is the current city and doesn't cater for a single flight number with a mid point stopover.

I've definitely seen people's boarding passes being rejected by the gate scanner for not being in the current group that's been called. Is that system not in place in Canberra?

The competitors LTG requires 75% of the SC's to be earned flying their coded flights - which has a limited network compared to oneworld. QFF's LTG can be earned without even flying QF - quite a differentiator IMO.
