Wonder if this is in addition to the bag weighing they do before security during peak times, in airports such as SYD and BNE.

I passed through here last month before QF44, it was crazy packed to the point of staff walking around trying to find seats for people. Food was passable, fair amount of variety but not high quality. Didn't try the alcohol. Stayed for 20 mins before heading to the gate.

Anyone had any success with getting seats released for this coming Dec/Jan holiday period to Asia? Don't currently have an EF subscription to even begin checking loads.
