    Cheap rewards redemptions to Paris?

Sounds rubbish to me. $9.99 a month to no doubt find there is no such award available.

Cash or Card? Countries where you still need cash.

If it hasn't been mentioned, cash is definitely prefered in the Cook Islands and we found a few places didn't take cards. Many that did had a 3.5% surcharge, so I quickly got in to the habit of cash.

Jetstar nonstop services between Australia and the Cook Islands

In Jan we flew the A321 from SYD to RAR. It was the most uncomfortable seat I have ever had on a flight and the plane was only around 60% full. The JQ seats feel like hard plastic and barely reclined. Awful for an overnight flight, especially one that arrives at 3.35 am at your departure point...

Major 2025 Qantas Frequent Flyer program changes

Those with status already have priority. Perhaps not as much as before with the seemingly random seat releases, but thet still do. I am sure the majority of points are earned via spend, not flying. Qantas need to offer the end goal of points flights to that majority, not lock them away for a subset.

Major 2025 Qantas Frequent Flyer program changes

When you receive an invitation to buy a lounge pass I believe there is the option to use points to pay instead of $. I don't recall the prices though.

Article: Are Ground Handlers Gaming Baggage Delivery KPIs?

I feel I have seen this pattern every now and then, for years.

best way for family to use 500K points ?

I second a USA trip. A great place to take the kids and a great use of 500000 points. We have been on QF points - 125k each from memory for a trip to JFK and returning from DFW.

AFF Review: Qantas Boeing 737-800 Economy Class

Row 29 must really be slumming it for you @Matt Graham. I hope I get the antipasti collection for my MEL to SYD flight in 8 days. I only take such flights a few times a year, but it looks better than any snacks I can remember in economy for a while.

    Made any travel mistakes lately?

Looking at the forecast I am wondering if you made the mistake of flying in to the wrong city.

    Made any travel mistakes lately?

Uber are awful to deal with when something goes off script. I was charged $25 instead of $15 for a fictious stop on the way. I only sought $10. After multiple attempts I did a charge back through PayPal. When Uber didn't respond PayPal found in my favour and refunded $10. Next time I open Uber...

    Flight crew too busy

Continuing from my previous post, one other exception. My only IB experience was 20 years ago, Madrid to Lima in economy. After a small meal, 8 or 10 hours later people are getting hungry and thirsty but the staff stayed in the galley and ignored all call button requests without fail. There was...

    Flight crew too busy

I do not understand the pride some take in not pressing the call button. Is it because what they are really trying tell you is that they always fly F or J? The Singapore Airlines flight attendant story doesn't surprise me, but for other airlines, as long as few others press the call button it...

    Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

From the 6x points promotion up to $500? I received 3000 points on the 13th.

    Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

But if you pay cash and it rounds down to zero, would it qualify?

Everyday Rewards launches Everyday Extra subscription product

Yeah I just signed up for a second 12 month plan, plus one mobile and the Coles $7 a month deal. I prefer Coles but Woolies is now getting 3/4 of our duopoly business.

    Woolworths gift card thread

More futile trips to WW for me. I can never get these offers.

    Woolworths gift card thread

Just to be pedantic, these offers are extra money on the card. So 5% extra is actually a 4 76% discount which is not as good as the 5% discounts you can get on cards like Dan's.

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

Thanks for this. I had never really thought about getting gift cards from Qantas before. The extra 4 (or 4.25) ppd has to be weighed up against other offers (eg 4% off WW gift cards purchased through my mobile plan) of course, but when there is a no other offer, this is a no brainer. I wish I...
