Seems like a good offer if you have some planned revenue flights within 12 months and don't need to use Phone sales to redeem voucher ($$). Wonder if you can stack multiple flight vouchers into a single booking... ker-ching!

Earn 10x Qantas Points on all Flight Vouchers

https://www.qantas.com.au/travel/airlines/gift-vouchers/global/en

Gift Vouchers for flights are available from A$50 to A$500 in A$50 denominations, and can be redeemed for adult base fares (excluding surcharges, fees and taxes) of one-way or return Qantas domestic flights or Qantas international flights departing Australia. Multi-city bookings are excluded.
Surcharges, fees and taxes apply to all fares. These must be paid with a credit card by the recipient when they redeem the Gift Voucher. Qantas does not charge a Card Payment fee on Gift Voucher purchases or redemptions.

  • Redeemable for one-way or return Qantas domestic flights or international flights departing Australia only (excludes multi-city bookings).
  • Must be wholly redeemed in one transaction for adult base fares (excludes surcharges, fees and taxes) of equal or higher value to the voucher amount. Surcharges, fees and taxes apply to all fares paid with a voucher and must be paid by credit card at the time of redemption.
  • Amounts are in Australian dollars (AUD) and are valid for bookings within 12 months of the voucher issue date.
  • Non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or other goods or services.
  • If more than one voucher recipient, all recipients must redeem and travel together.
  • The Qantas Conditions of Carriage and relevant Fare Conditions apply to all bookings made with a voucher.
  • Vouchers may be redeemed at qantas.com/giftvouchers or through Qantas Telephone Sales. A service fee applies to redemptions through Qantas Telephone Sales.

where does it say 10x points? and looks like you cant pay surcharges and tax with the gift card... which is a bit silly to me..

On the main Australian Qantas website the lower dynamic window that displays current promos scrolling through horizontally offers 10x bonus points.

Yeah its a nuisance that you can't pay for taxes/surcharges with it but depending on your fare it can still be a worthwhile investment.

Sounds like a good offer. A couple of questions in my mind

- Does not mention if all credit cards will receive 10x points ie Does it have to be a Qantas card or can it be a simple Amex or do you get 10x QFF points for value of voucher?
- Do vouchers have to be for someone else? It would be nice if I can purchase 20 of $100 vouchers for myself and get 10x points

This sounds too good to be true!!

I get double points using my credit card anyway.

If this is correct and there is no limit I will spend $120K on gift cards netting me 1.2 Million bonus points PLUS I will get 240K points for using my credit card.

I can then pay for my trip to LHR and leave 2 days early and get double points for the birthday bonus.

If I work this out ok..... I will basically get a Return FASA to LHR for no cost!

Winning!!

Bossreggie, I had a similar thought but wasn't quite close to spending $1.2M on flight vouchers, yet.

Not so confident we can stack multiple vouchers though... that'll bring down your little master plan a rung or ten.

Just grabbed 2x $50 vouchers and will see if I can use both for a flight I have coming up and already booked but waiting to be paid.

Someone show me where the 10x points per $ spent is clearly stated in the sales offer, other than in a virtually worthless mouse over. I doubt QF would have failed to add a 10x points earn into the actual web site offer. More likely the 10x mouse over and 10x official offer was created and then someone in management decided 10x was too much and pulled the 10x official offer but forgot to pull the 10x mouse over.

Please, SOMEONE, show me that I'm wrong.

hope you get your 10x points :)

BTW whats the largest denomination you can get? it really doesnt make sense being so small....

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Largest amount is $500. Small makes sense for domestic since it doesn't include taxes and surcharges.

I just did a dummy booking and upto payment it didn't ask for QFF number. Not sure how you get 10 points.

ah, so really its just bs. or typo. should be 1 point?

Hopefully it is a new onus...and just has not showed up in the Special Page yet.

That happened to me with an Amex Promo once....I started buying at DSE to gain the 5 points per $, but when the T&C showed up it was starting the day after my spend. I rang Amex and stated that the delay was their fault, and that they should ensure that the promo was not advertised to be open it was not. They honoured the points.

But i think one of the problems pointed out earlier was that they dont seem to require your QFF number.........

When I bought the 2x $50 vouchers I was logged in to the FF website and details that showed I was logged in was shown top right of the page.

I am checking now if you can redeem against a pay later flight and from the looks of it, it is only new flights AND one voucher per flight.

What a terrible time for woolies to be giving bonus points for QF spend on their credit card!
